  How do you amuse yourself during the daily commute?

  i commute to and from work between 2 and 4 hours every day.

  does anyone else commute and what do you do to pass the time?

  i know i do, as my very first reaction.

  but, it is almost always wrong.

  i have observed my reaction like this so many times, that, in the background, i'm waiting for the reaction to subside.

  That kind of bias can be debilitating

  on the contrary I find sparring with scots men exhilarating. and generally rewarding! Besides I am just trying to even out the bias that there is FOR Scots men on this board. x

  now that i'm finally back, having got my report out of the way for the current stage of my studies, i thought it about time i posted an update of my travels.. i recently had a "wee jolly" away from the island that wasn't without incident.. i left in the wee hours of the morning on friday 1st april, and i can assure you that catching a boat at 6:30am, with a poor weather forecast, is no joke.

  having said my hellos to some fellow passengers, that i recognised, i decided to catch some zzzzzeds on one of the couches.. i awoke about three hours later, and rushed downstairs to the galley to get a big-ass full traditional breakfast (complete with black pudding, but no beans ).

  after guzzling it down, the boat was near port, so i decided to splash some water on my face before heading down to the car deck.

  Well its two and a half on a good day - the trip to work involves a 2 or 3 mile walk in two sections and 2 to 3 trains - same on the way back.

  The walk is my favourite part - over a gorgeous green in our village peppered with old chesnut trees and sometimes deer grazing right by the path. The rest on the filthy British trains is grim and horrible. But I do get to read loads and that is my journey's sinmgular most redeeming feature!

  as i was taking my shower this morning i was musing about certain posts i had read the day before.

  the one about the tampons just tickled me to no end.

  crazy stuff people will do to enforce whatever crazy ideas they have about human sexuality.
