  Circuit Overseer Visit

  this week, my congregation has the privilege of the visit from the circuit overseer.. my mother took a day off work to go out.

  i put in for extra hours.. in the off chance we get wrapped up in discussion, what should i say?.

  i was in the grocery store and met a cousin i haven't seen in years.

  the first thing he asked me was, do you go to the meeting now?

  he mentioned how armageddon was so close.

  go to almost all meetings, field service 2-3 times a month. all for family and friends. heart hasn't been in it for 2 years. but i love my family(esp. mom and wife and sister) and friends(some closer than family) so i put up with it.

  for those not up-to-date on my situation ... .

  i was disfellowshipped and i posted about it here.. i wrote an appeal letter, and wrote about it here.

  so, i just got home from a weeks vacation, i was home for 3 hours.

  about 2 years ago, i realized that the "millions now living will never die" was bullshit. i realized then that i would die an old man(hopefully). i also realized that i probably would have a better chance at living forever if i died and was resurrected than if armageddon started now. that is, IF everything jw's says is true, which is probably NOT true, which means this reply is bullshit and i'm going to fix another drink and go to sleep.
