What has hurt you the most for being a JW?
by MsMcDucket in.
or what do you regret most about being a jw?.
for me it's being alienated by my twin daughters.

first of all, im a carolina panther fan all the way. i dont like seattle or pittsburgh. i have a great deal of respect for bill cowher. outside of john fox, he'd be my pick to coach my team. and jerome bettis is a class act all the way, congrats to him.
the game was poorly played by both teams, seattle managed the clock poorly, made timely mistakes. however, the poor officiating contributed too much in a game of this magnitude. the holding on seattle that negated a first down on the 2 yard line and the TD called back for offensive pass interferance were awful! the NFL needs full time officials; or at least look into ways to improve the officiating. kudos to seattle for not publicly blaming the loss on the refs and congratulations. to cowher, a hall of fame coach for sure.

JWs and Double-Lifers: "If we leave, where else do we go?" —Part 1
by AuldSoul in(or "why is it so hard to leave?").
many seem to believe there must be an organization that represents all their beliefs.
it also seems like a lot of them want to find it before leaving the one they are in.

i have wondered about the scripture in james 5:13-15. if it means confession, why does vs. 15 say "if he has committed sin, it will be forgiven him". it seems to me that the one "sick" may not have sinned, but just be down in spirits. as regards your other points, i wholeheartedly agree with you.

its all what you make of it. im 44 in a week or so, and i have more $ than i did at 24, and i know to have more fun w/o the consequences(most of the time). most of my friends are 10 years younger cause the ones my age have dried up and died(not literally). i work out to keep in shape, have the best sex of my life cause i know more about what to do to make it more fun.i wouldnt trade this time for anything. ask me in 5 years and ill probably have a different answer.

looking for a scripture
by bonnzo ini thought i read a scripture that made reference to the idea that reaching out for "overseer" type privileges is nor for every brother.
i can't remember how it was worded.
maybe it was a dream, but if it exists and anyone can find it, i;d sure appreciate it.

Elders playing GOOD COP - BAD COP.....Test your knowledge HERE!
by Trojan inmany of you have notices how the pictures in the literature have "subliminal" messages (not hidden pictures, i mean subtle messages to the mind).
here's a little, fun test:.
who's the bad guy in the picture and why do you say so?.

is the elder on the right starting to flip the bird with his left hand? the middle finger is just starting to rise! is that a (gasp!) cross in the window on the left side!!! these guys aren't elders... they're apostates!

beards not a rule but!!!
by frogit inhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4666132.stm .
this caught my eyes and reminded me when as a ministerial servant that we had to go into the back room for instructions from the po (not very clever man), he tried his best to explain to us ms and elders about the wearing of beards in the congregation.
he must have gone on and on for 30 minutes about not having beards, but kept impressing that this was not a rule, but beards should not be worn, but its not a rule, just dont expect to have any privileges if you grow one on your face and wear it (sounds like you wear it like a tie he he) but we are not making it a rule, just dont wear a beard.

its ok to have the kind of "beard" that grows over the lip, just not under it.. scriptural proof is found at acts 8:37 in the NWT.
