i knew what the watchtower taught regarding the "faithful & discreet slave class" but how they could ever suggest that "domestics" were "individual members" of the anointed that were given food to the other anointed ones, yet they specifically were not members of the governing body, but the governing body represented the group that would take the lead in feeding others, was beyond me!
the whole interpretation of the fds doctrine is ridiculous!.
were there certain things that puzzled you as to how the watchtower could come up with a particular view?
The idea that the FDS has to be a "class", not one person. How about each individual Christian being a faithful slave that gets "rewarded" with a promotion(over domestics) for being faithful and discreet? Who says every parable has a prophetic meaning?
If the 144,000 is a literal number, and the 24 elders are the 144,000, which is literal? Why can't they both be figuative?

there are hundreds or thousands of websites on jehovah's witnesses with all sorts of slants, but i have never come across any specifically for atheist jehovah's witnesses.
has anyone ever seen a site for atheist witnesses?
i think it would be a great idea, and we could call it atheists for jehovah, as a counterpart to the atheists for jesus.
i personally am a closet atheist. to reply to junction-guy and anybody else, the only reason the ones on this site that are still JW's remain a j-dub, is because of family/friends. it really dont matter whether we believe in god or not. i dont believe in god or jwism, but i put on a good facade for my loving mom, who is a devout jw and wants/thinks i am too. yes, i hate it, but i hate my job, but have to pay my bills, so i put up with it FOR NOW, but not forever. oh yeah, GO HEELS in the college world series!

i know you are all tired of hearing from me about dogs, but i need help.. our one dobie sleeps where he is suppose to after being tucked in, kissed, and his head laid down on a pillow.
his older brother after experiencing the same, after about an hour, quietly gets up and sneaks down the hall way, begging to get into bed with us.. here is the problem, the boys are 100 pounds each.
when the older one sneaks in he promptly lays down between us with his head on the pillows.
i have two 80+ lb. labs. occasionally, they let me sleep in the bed with them. seriously, one sleeps with the wife and i; the other on the floor beside me. when my wife leaves for work(earlier than i ), both jump on the bed, racing down the hall to get the pillow next to me. yes, i have dog hair on the sheets, pillow, etc., and wouldn't trade it for anything. just to see them with their waggin' tails and smiles(?) when i get home from a long day at work makes it all worth while.
i was just wondering when you where going through the questions for baptism did you know you had to dedicate yourself to jehovah before hand or did you lie?.
i didn't know i had to so when i went through the questions i had to lie and say i had.
i always felt bad about it afterwards and quickly did a little prayer that night.
i did not even think about it until the baptism talk! i still haven't and don't plan on doing so. i guess that means i lied. as james hetfield sings on metallica's garage inc. cd: so f****** what!
