Plus new write ups with all that has been going on here in the North East of England. Updates run from October/November last year to Feb 2002A local news paper is also ready to go ahead with the story, also relating to the abuse recently brought to light by silentlambs. But in order for the paper to do the story, they need to hear from people in the Sunderland area of Tyne & Wear, in the North East of England.

November 1999: Kingdom Ministry: Internet Use
USE OF THE INTERNET - BE ALERT TO THE DANGERS4. The Internet enables one to communicate inexpensively with millions of others throughout the world, and it opens the door to vast amounts of information. (Awake! Jan 8, 1998) The indiscriminate use of the Internet, however, can expose a person to great spiritual danger and moral dangers. How is this so?
THEY MIGHT FIND THE REAL "TRUTH " OF THE SOCIETY ?10. WEB SITES OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES: Consider, for example, some Internet sites set up by individuals who claim to be Jehovah's Witnesses. They invite you to visit their web sites to read experiences posted by others who claim to be Witnesses. You are encouraged to share you thoughts and views about the Society's literature. Some give recommendations about presentations that could be used in the field ministry. These site offer chat rooms for individuals to connect to, allowing live communication with others, similar to talking on the telephone. They often point you to other sites where you can have online association with Jehovah's Witnesses around the world. But can you tell for certain that these contacts have not been planted by apostates?
ARE YOU NOT ALLOWED TO DECIDE FOR YOURSELF?20. The publications provided by Jehovah's organization stimulate our minds with up-building thoughts and train us "to distinguish both right and wrong" (Heb 5: 14) Can we say that this is achieved if others do our research for us?
OH, I FORGOT......"Heavy research is not necessary. The Watch Tower has done it for you. The most beneficial study you can do is to read The Watch Tower or Awake! or a new book by the organization." "The Watch Tower" (6/1/1967) P. 338
AND PEOPLE BELIVE THIS S**T ???? ROFLMAO !!

Do the gov. body use the internet ?
The pope seems to......
"The 81-year old pontiff, who last year sent his first message over the Internet, praised it as a "wonderful instrument" that should be used to spread the word of God and encourage global peace.
In his first message sent to the world directly over the Internet last November, Pope John Paul apologized to victims of sexual abuse by priests and other clergy."
Will we get an apology from the gov.body regarding the sexual abuse within the organisation? NO PROBABLY NOT !!
They never apologised for their failed predictions or prophecies so obviously would,nt "lower" themselves to apologise for elder cover-ups etc.
The pope has admitted sexual abuse exists within the catholic church.....over to you governing body....http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,49910,00.html

"Scene of the world is changing"
by Blackcat ini recently had the pleasure of working on a house which also had a visit from the jw,s.. as i was working away, i had a "listening ear" or should i say i overheard bits of the conversation, the main sentence being from the male jdub...." the scene of the world is changing".
this was so comical as he repeated it around 5 times in 3 minutes!
!, now i can remember from the ministry school the term "repitition for emphasis" but this was getting soooo predictable.. my question is this a variation used by jw,s as an alternative to "the last days" term in which i used as a teenage jw ?

Anyone know of any new watchtower quotes or sayings?
The householder seemed to put a few questions forward judging by the jws stance, he didnt seem to be doing much talking as he could,nt get a word in due to the householder having thier say on world events!!
The jw offered his hand for a handshake as he left the door something also new to me. Is this a tactic a recomendation by the society?

Anti-JW leaflet campaign
by freeborg ini have been a reader of this message board for a number of years and this is the first comment i have made in that time.
i have been part of the wts for 20 years my parents believed they had found the truth when i was 10 and from then on we hung to every word uttered from the platform at the kingdom hall.
my wife was a witness brought up in the wts all her life so the wts was a massive part of all our familes lives from parents to brothers and sisters.

Is the watchtower opposistion gathering pace in the UK?
I recieved this following e-mail recently regarding exposing the Watchtower Society....
Dear friends.
This special request is going out to all the people who know us through our web site. www.welcome.to/witnesscd
Michael, a current Jehovah’s witnesses of 40 years who contacted me during last year is starting his campaign to help as many people as he can in the North East of England by mass mailing as many homes as possible, continuously, week after week. This is not a one off.
The request is a simple one. Michael is paying for the printing plate to be made and paying for the first printing run of 3,000 leaflets, which are to be produced in A4 size and posted by hand. Joanne and I are then chipping in for the next run of a thousand and to continue we are looking for people to help by donating anything they can, be it a dollar or a pound or what ever.
Every 1,000 A4 size leaflets after the initial run costs £15.00 or $30.00 and the more money we can raise, the more leaflets we can produce and the more homes and people we can reach. We will be posting them all by hand and a number of Michael's family have already offered to help with the massive posting job.
If you would like to make a donation and contribute to helping people understand the false prophecies of the Watchtower Organisation that are brought to people's homes by the Jehovah's witnesses, please let me know by e-mail ASAP followed by sending what ever you wish to donate…to our POBOX address, which is:
Paul Kevin. C/O The Kingdom Publishers Journal,
P O Box 98, Burnham On Sea,
Somerset, TA8 2BF,
England.
We can accept Pounds, Dollars, cheques or money orders. Photos will be taken showing the various stages of the printing and distribution and posted on my web site at a later date. Please help if you can.
A printing company to rival the org ? Why not !!! AT LEAST WE MIGHT SEE SOME TRUTH FROM THIS ONE !!

Whats the strangest watchtower/awake article ever
by sleepy inwhats the strangest watchtower/awake or other publication article you,ve ever seen?.
i know theres some very strange old articles , but a few years ago there was one in the awake if i remmember right which had a picture of two brothers holding hands on the ministrty.. one was african the other white.. apparently it was common for men to hold hands in this country and was perectly normal for hetrosexual men to do.. a brother who was a missionary recounted how he was shocked when out with a local brother for the first time on the ministry and the brother took his hand in his.. a lot of people though the article was very odd and didn't like it.

Another Watchtower classic.... The real reason blood transfusions are feared… sin transmitted by blood?
1961 "The blood in any person is in reality the person himself. ... poisons due to personal living, eating and drinking habits ... The poisons that produce the impulse to commit suicide, murder, or steal are in the blood. Moral insanity, sexual perversions, repression, inferiority complexes, petty crimes - these often follow in the wake of blood transfusion." (Watchtower, Sept. 1, 1961 page 564)
AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY BELIEVED IT ??....THEN AGAIN THIS ALSO IS A WATCHTOWER QUOTE, SO I GUESS THEY HAD TOO !!
If we have love for Jehovah and for the organization of his people we shall not be suspicious, but shall, as the Bible says, 'believe all things', all the things that The Watchtower brings out..." Qualified to Be Ministers, 1955, p. 156.
