Oh, Renee, that's horrible!!
As a child who grew up attending church, I looked forward to our summer hours--earlier and SHORTER Sunday service between Memorial & Labor Days to allow MORE time to do fun, non-religious things!!
i always had to pioneer and it sucked... in mississippi it was 100 degrees and very very humid.
it was like a greenhouse.
we would get all dressed up and just pour sweat.

weekends!.
this weekend is memorial day here in the usa where the country pauses to remember and honor all the brave men and women who have paid the ulitmate price in order for us to live in "freedom".
flying spaghetti monster bless the usa.. i only have to work until noon today and of course monday is a paid holiday!
Thanks, Free2Think. Yes, a little princess party packed with tiaras. I'll need a nightcap tomorrow at bedtime.
Yeah, our UK office said they were closed. I'll have to Wiki what the heck bank holidays are all about. I couldn't help but wonder if they were just a bit jealous of our 'kickoff the summer' holiday!
Happy Birthday Badboy!!!!!!!
i am officially df'ed.. so here's my first post with a picture of me in it... of course, all of my old posts will probably populate with the pic now too...
I put my pic up here for the first time after almost a year, I think.
As for you, though--Congratulations on your freedom! You look damn good.

(double post)
i'll start it off, then someone else give them a different challenge if you can think of any.. please give definitive examples that by evolution, a species has changed into something else.
give two separate findings by scientists, and it can't include any comments like "so we believe", "so we conclude that", or "the evidence shows that there could have been".....the wts has those copyrighted.. try and give un-doctored photographic proof, where possible, etc.
by the way the hominid skulls and the like will not be accepted, transition has never been proven, i don't think, just that they are different, and scientists "believe", they are pre-homo-sapiens.. i'm not saying you won't have examples, we just want you to walk the talk.
This is pretty funny and sad at the same time. It makes me shake my head a bit. "Prove this, throw out a challenge".... <----That's where I had to chuckle a bit. You WILL get a response, but what can you give in return besides what comes from your own mind, rather than valid, real (realistic outside of your own and millions of others' brains) explanations, conclusions and even demonstrations?
When science is dismissed and put down because it opposes what you believe from the Bible and/or a Diety belief, I have to ask, do you REALLY want to know the answers to the questions you have about life? Why question anything, why decide if something is wrong or right, whether someone is born one way or another? Why bother? Doesn't your brain hurt?
Just believe what you want to believe and keep those rose-colored glasses on forever. But since you and most people can admit there is at least one conflict between what they believe and scientific evidence that DOES EXIST, you (and others) seek to challenge those who offer up 'in your face' evidence of life's beginnings and progression. Rationalizing that something can exist amidst this evidence does NOT give any substantial reason to honestly believe it DOES.
Scientific evidence is here whether you like it or not. Now, kindly please answer the God challenges given to you.
P.S. to everyone,
I've been wondering for about the last 4 months of Simpson's epidodes--is Matt Groening athiest? I've been laughing at Homer lately with an appreciation I didn't have 8 months ago.

together for decades sometimes dating back to the second world war.. .
it has always amazed me how some couples can stay together for 20, 30, 40 .
I can only go by my maternal grandparents as an answer to the question. They have been married 55 years.
I've realized that years ago, divorce was such a no-no and in most cases, an impossible resolution due to financial reasons and a lack of support from others. I think the real state of their relationship (had it been different from what it is) would have shown through to us grandchildren at some point, two of whom have even lived with them before.
From what I can see today and over the years, they truly are each other's best friend. They genuinely get along, have the same outlook on life and situations within life, and thoroughly discuss situtions in which they do not agree. They've also told me the old saying I thought was just cliche: "Don't go to bed mad at each other!"
Hi Crumpet,
It would be like if Cary Barber's opinion reached 100 times more people, all in one country--their morals and judgements were based on his opinion and those who followed him, then that many people would be mourning. Those who saw the world and people with their own hearts would see the joy in this. Hehe...growing up being made to think that people like him were right when he was so wrong about life...at least we don't have to hear him anymore. I'm sure his inheritance money is sending off "cha-ching" bells in his family's ears today!!
LOL
May he rest in $hit forever since that's all that ever came out of his mouth!
my dear friend's 34 year old son recently was found dead by a girlfriend after calling him repeatedly and never getting a call back.
meanwhile my friend was on his way back from florida when he got the awful news.
he asked me for some encouraging scriptures to share with him for some consolation.
I've found that your presence alone can make a difference.
