  treshappy contacted me today and let me know that the providence journal of rhode island reported that tonya fuller-balletta was aquitted because of insanity.

  pancreatic cancer and prayer

  a friend of mine was recently diagnosed with cancer throughout her pancreas.

  this is usually a deadly and rapidly lethal cancer.

  at my bible study group prayer requests were taken and i placed her name in for prayer.

  I'm glad your friend is okay right now.

  Personally, I see no correlation between prayer and healing/life. I used to, but no longer (I say this happily).

  Her sparkly personality has blessed us at JWD
  She's funny, witty and a big time cutie

  We're lucky to have her as our friend
  Each day she doesn't post, we miss her to no end
  
  She can be serious and a joker, honest and true
  We are a comfort she turns to, in the moments she feels blue

  Someone who comes close to the edge yet doesn't cross it
  Is what we all need in our lives, particularly when realizing the WT's full of $hit

  Words can't express how much I miss my friend
  Sometimes I kick something, wishing this pain would just end

  The truth is, I haven't bonded with anyone in a while
  The genuine feeling has been absent since the last time you made me smile

  But what on earth did I do to spark an ignore
  Then rational thought comes back and tells me life has made you its whore

  So lo and behold, my heart has to shine through
  For being your friend is what I've been fortunate to do

  Is it appropriate for a stranger to comment on a woman's bruises?

  if you saw a woman in public, and said woman was a complete stranger to you, would you feel it's appropriate to discuss it with her (if you're concerned she is in an abusive relationship)?

  if you did, would it be appropriate to do it within earshot of others?

  and if she offered you an explanation other than abuse, how would you proceed?

  Well, I do think it's appropriate to comment on a possible situation like that. If I were in your shoes, though, I'd assure those who did ask that I was ok by saying something like, "I get that often, when actually, my bruises are due to a condition called....Thanks for your concern", and speak in a confident tone. Look at your bruises from the outside, and understand that people just don't know. I get mistaken for things based on certain physical aspects, too. It's tiring, but necessary.

  for me it was a combination of things over a long period of time.

  being raised as a witness, you do things by rote.

  but when you see sooooooooo many watchtower inconsistencies, mistreatment of the "brothers", elder abuse, and simple lack of love, it begins to make you start seriously thinking.

  Ahhh, I lucked out. I get there, and the entire floor (including the classroom carpet) was flooded....LOL!!!!! Class started 20 minutes late and more than half the class didn't even "get" to go tonight. Good thing, since I also forgot a videotape for myself. So, I'll do my cooking demo on Thursday. I'll be as good as Rachel Ray, if not better, I hope. I am now confident my content is exactly as it should be. It's the delivery I'm a Nervous Nelly about. I will update this thread afterwards.
