by White Dove ini've heard some pretty nasty things about the social work field, such as little benefits, low pay, no respect, inefectiveness, undertrained supervisors, etc.
now i worry if i'm getting into the wrong field.
i want to be in a helping field but need money and benefits.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm guessing an even number might work best, whether it be 2, 4, 8...

philosophical question
by Hortensia ini keep thinking about this when i'm driving but forget to ask when i'm online.
when prozac came out, i read an article by some "authority" who was debating the wisdom of changing someone's feelings artificially with antidepressants.
the argument was that it is better to be authentic and depressed than artifically happy and medicated.

Do you remember if the article was referring to lifelong prozac use or for a period of time?

For mothers who have lost a child - 2008
by Lady Lee inon mother's day we often forget those who are mother's but never had the chance to hold their child.
some because they chose to give their child up for adoption.
others because of miscarriage or stillbirth.

Zeroday, I'm with you.
Dear Mother-
Thank you for abandoning me at the age of 7 because you wanted to start life over without ever being a mother to me or seeing me as your daughter ever again.
No surprise you won't be hearing from me tomorrow, even if I had your number.
Sincerely,
A great mom

Really, Are Jehovah's Witnesses THAT Different From The Other Religions?
by minimus inthe more i read on this site, the more i see that all religions think their version of what is right and wrong is what matters.
some punish you now for disobedience to the church's rules and others supposedly give you your reward in the hereafter.. some live their lives with more strictness.
others are more liberal.. look at the jewish faith.

I don't see how anyone can say that all religions are the same. We have a smorgasboard of religions in this world. Some are strict, some are lenient. Some encourage education, a few don't. Some believe in partying and drinking, some forbid alcohol.
Many are anti-drug, some encourage dope smoking.
Lumping all religions together as the same is like saying McDonald's is just the same as Red Lobster. We have a smorgasboard of restaurants in this world. Eating too much restaurant food is not healthy and some restaurants are bad altogether. Homecooking is best.

After Divorce- When Getting Into a New Relationship - Don't Just Settle !
by flipper ini think most of us will agree that after having gone through divorce - that many of us were gun shy before getting into another relationship.
and that is fine for some people who feel they just can't go " there" anymore.
that being said, there are some of us over the years who after divorcing, went through several relationships or marriages before finally getting it right some day.

I love reading your divorce threads. Thanks for posting.
I certainly didn't. I hooked up with a young mixed girl with a booty that doesn't quit.
Thanks, baby! (j/k, everyone)
