They are so wrong to judge, dictate absurd rules, and most of all, pin family against family. I'm glad your daughter was able to see the truth about them so early in life...and at the same time, sorry for her to be put through that hurt as well.

What do you think some posters look like?
by Bubbamar inits funny that when i imagine what other posters look like - i alway imagine them as attractive, fit, well groomed, with bright, shiny happy faces.
i never see them as obese, nerdy, or with greasy hair and warts and pimples.
their noses are never too big - no body has a "comb-over.

All competitions are violent from what I've been coerced to believe.
FYI-If you're studying now and wish to continue to do so, you ought to know this is one website where you're forbidden by "jehovah's organization" to visit and still be considered 'on the proper spiritual path, and still showing love for jehovah'. I was a bible student who woke up and could see, deciding to stay away from it and not get in any further.
FYI-2 - I highly recommend you buy the book I'm currently reading called Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz. If you don't read every chapter, I suggest you read chapter 3, entitled Governing Body.

me and the wife were fightitng again and she asked why i can't just go back and pretend or just forget all this... she said as an athnostic you either don't belive in god or don't believe that god cares so why can't you just go and fake it... i was dumbfounded i ask her why can't you just get the f*ck out and stop faking it... she stormed out and i sat down here..... so i ask ya, if you could forget all the negatives about the wbts (i know thats a lot) and just go back like nothing had ever happened would you?

by prophecor indoes anyone know what the deal is with rapper sean carter, aka jay-z and his refering to himself as jay-hovah?
its a pretty close call naming yourself such by jw standards possibly bordering on blasphemy.
does anyone know if he may've been associated with jw's at some time, and if he was, whether his choosing of the name might be a response to his no longer believing the teachings of jws?

Do you and your significant other share religious beliefs?
by MelbaToast insometimes, i think my husband is much more church oriented than i am.
i still get upset when i attend church, but lately he has been putting the push on me for us to go back to his church where he grew up in.
he would like to start taking our daughter so she has a somewhat structured religious belief.

We both believe in God and Jesus, but not religion. He's always had a problem with religion, saying 'they all think they're better than each other...', and now at this point, he and I finally agree. Home is less stressful now.
