  Only Jehovah's Witnesses

  i'm just new to this internet stuff and am studying with the jehovah's witnesses at present.please don't take my lack of knowledge as cheek.

  i just want to know if it's meant to be only jehovah's witnesses using this site.

  i fully intend to become baptised but was wondering if there's any security to prevent people who shouldn't be using the site and are maybe abusing it from doing so.

  You are not a jw, then what are you? What dealings with them do you have and most of all, why are you here?

  I just stopped studying a couple months ago after deciding baptism was not for me, and YES they do teach that they are the mediator between Jehovah, Jesus and those of us on earth. I don't need any of their literature up here to prove that!!!! I know what horseshit has been fed to me all this time.

  Whenever I see the coldness that is often shown to family members because they don't go along with the JW way of doing things I think of the scripture that says that "lack of natural affection" would be one of the things happening in later times. I don't think this prophecy applied to true Christians.

  All I can say is RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH! Do it for yourself using non Watchtower information and see what conclusions you draw without being told what is truth. For example, why not to come here? What is their reasoning behind it? I needed more than just "stay away because the unspoken clergy says so". What's really so bad about apostates??? I found the answer to that last question is Nothing!

  I was studying for 4 years and had wanted to get baptized this year. The longer and more deeply I studied, the less sense things made. Please feel free to ask questions here without fear of being labeled.

  I love sleeping in on sunday's and not having to base my weekly schedule off the meetings, but around my own life instead. I no longer feel guilty about relaxing after work on a tues. or thursday instead of rushing to make dinner and leave right back out (especially in this 5 degree weather).

  I read! Other than wt propaganda.

  I've always been addicted to food network and hgtv, and can now watch more.

  I do tae bo 6 days a week and feel great.

  I watch whatever movie I want to.

  I came home yesterday to find 2 unstamped envelopes in my mail. One had an Awake and the other had the Watchtower. Inside was a note that read:

  Dear Neighbor:

  I'm writing you this letter because I was not able to reach you at home. I'm involved in a volunteer work that encourages learning more about the bible. This program is being offered all over the world. Enclosed is a magazine that directs your attention to bible and all its promises for the future. I hope you enjoy reading it. If you have any questions or want to know more, you can contact me at the above address or refer to the address on the back page of the magazine.

  So, I wonder if they are now getting magazines out this way as a regular basis.
