the gecko doing the "robot" , the king wanting me to eat a 50 pound breakfast sandwich, wake up with the king?
wtf, and the whole way things are just thrown in our face in the form of advertising.

Watchtower study - so long and so boring
by Donkey Lipz ini remember going to sunday meetings...the public talks went by fast (sometimes).
but the watchtower study to me was so boring and not interesting at all.
it felt longer than the public talk.

I saw Motley Crue this weekend
by Dustin inso, i went to see motley crue at the same place where i used to go to the district convention this last weekend.
it's such a strange feeling walking into those places for the first time since i permanantly left the jw's behind.
the first song they played was "shout at the devil".

I also have never seen that many mullets together in one place. I thought we were back in 1986 or something.
OMG! LOL!
My personal favorite was this rather chunky girl who was walking up the stairs in a VERY short skirt. I look up and she was not wearing anything but a her own body hair for underwear. My wife was about ready to throw up I think. So I looked at her and said "What smells like poop?" We got a pretty good laugh.
Oh my gosh...you're cracking me up again!!!!!!

by Krystal ini am 20 years old and i left the organization when i was 17. there are of course many gorey details which i will not get into right now... but i just wanted to say how happy i am to have found this fourm.
as many of you remember, we were always instructed not to read anything about jehovah's witnesses that wasn't written by the organization.
well, that instruction stuck, and this is the first time i three years that i have dared to even look.. needless to say, i found some very disturbing information.

Need Some Hugs and Humor

to make a long story short, a bunch of my siblings and cousins own some property that has been in escrow since january.
some people are not speaking to each other any more because they can't believe we want to get money for this sacred property that my grandparents owned and-- because we want my 53 year old pot smoking brother who does not hold down a regular job, bathe regularly or have a life, and does not pay rent, to move off the property.

I KNOW how hard it is when all the bills are paid and food is a struggle.

Alternate Activities
by Shawn incan anyone suggest alternative activities that are group oriented that are allowed by jws and not considered "worldy"?
i am not sure where the line is in regards to right or worng here, if there is a line.
i am trying to get my friend into a group function other than the jws.

Chances are she won't go to whatever you have in mind if it's on a meeting night. Try to work around her schedule if possible. Or do just the opposite - before she gets too committed to meetings.
