What's Love Gotta' Do With It?

I saw the program, too. What came to my mind was, it's easier to get a divorce these days compared to years ago, when it wasn't even thought of (as far as I know, anyway). If our times were like that back when this 105 yr old man was in his prime, would they still be married? I don't know. I think that's when it comes down to compatibilty. Getting along and working at your relationship together.
Are you still in love?
Being 'in love' to me means respect for that person is still there. So, no...I love him greatly but those feelings of being in love are done.Do you think after all this time, that sex is greatly overated?
No, I still see it as very important in the relationship because I love it.Can you still find that crazy giddy feeling, where you found your heart a flutter from that special someone?
Not really. Can you still find those spaces where you used to feel that your lover, spouse or significant other was the only one that mattered in the entire world?
Yes, actually (sometimes). -

I hate it!!
Background: Mom walked out on us when I was 7. Dad raised my brother and I.Anytime I visited with my mom, she was always bad mouthing my dad. From 10 right up until the last time we spoke. And although not as much, Dad also talked bad about mom and still tells me to this day that I'm just like her.
Because of this, I don't talk to either of them (on top of all the other isht I've dealt w/from them)!
It just showed me how selfish and hateful they really are.
This will f*$# w/your kid for a long time.

would you let your child associate with Jehovahs Witnesses?
by Ellie in.
i'm the only one of my family who is not in 'the truth', and my family don't want anything to do with me.. however, today my mum asked me if she can take my 2 year old to visit the rest of the family, i'm not invited and wouldn't be welcome at any of their houses, so she would be taking my daughter alone.. i told her i would think about it.. i really don't think it would be practical because my daughter is not familiar with the family and i don't want her to be upset.. but the main reason |'m thinking of saying no is that i feel offended that i am not good enough for them to speak to.. am i being selfish if i say no?

No f**king way!!!
Family isn't family when they want to latch on to your kid but treat you like dirt. If you won't be respected, then why would you want your child in that environment? Don't let them make you feel guilty for demanding respect and teaching your child what you believe.
