Hmmm, if there were a female version of Archie, I guess that'd be me (sometimes).

What does your name MEAN?
by RichieRich inwe all are identified by our names here on jwd.
some use their real names, and others pick a moniker that is their nickname or perhaps a few words from a song they like.. why did you pick your name?.
for instance,.

Lonely, because that is excatly how I felt the whole time I was devoting my time to becoming part of them. Isolation from them for not being dipped yet, as well as from family and friends for having anything to do w/jw's. So much "love", yet this was how I felt constantly.
Sheep..obviously since that's a common jw term I heard studying.

Now that you are out, do you have a WANDERING EYE?
by zagor inafter many years of repression do you now find hard to restrain you natural feelings?
it doesnt have to be wrong as one cousin told me, you admire beauty of the sunset, the song of birds; you appreciate exotic meal and equally you can now more appreciate the natural beauty of opposite sex.
reason why im asking is because today ive met a dub from my former congdubgration who immediately assumed i was "immoral".

I always had one and always will. I like to look at who looks good to me. No problem w/my husband admiring either. If someone looks good, they look good, point blank. No sense in pretending to be blind.
Crumpet...girl, you crack me up!

Would you once have let your child die for want of a blood transfusion?
by nicolaou inwhen i first became a father over 17 years ago i was so 'dedicated' to the truth' that i just know i'd have followed the society's policy on blood to the letter.
fortunately it never came up.
however, having kids was also something of a watershed.

One day shortly after I left the org, the realization came to me that I would have allowed my childen to die because of that cult. That was one of the worst day of my life
Me, too! It's sick, but at one point, I would have done so.

What are your priorities in life?
by JH in.
the witnesses say that they put the kingdom first in their lives, and that the rest of the world puts pleasures and money and sex first.. a kind of black and white picture of them and the world.. so, you evil people .

My happiness and health, and that of my children's as well.
Under that umbrella falls....working on our relationships, working to keep money coming so it is not of concern. Finishing college right now.
Time. Using it wisely.

I can relate to what you're going through. It is frustrating for me because I can't talk to my husband much about it without being made to feel embarrassed for falling for their crap.

It started out as just a walk ...
by kwintestal in... and it turned into an animal rescue.. it was a beautiful day here, so after supper my wife, two kids and myself decided to take a stroll in the woods nearby.
you have to drive a ways up an out-of-the-way road to get to this trail and we had a great time on our walk.
so we're headed back to the car and hear a faint, "meow".
