Evidently the media thinks that the witnesses are just small change.
That's exactly what they are to the rest of the world.
"Who cares? They aren't a real religion!"
I'll write one, and bring out some points to catch wordly eyes.
i was thinking earlier of how the recent mega-million dollar catholic settlement in la is an ideal opportunity, in letters to the editor in local newspapers, to highlight the hypocrisy of the witnesses in how they have handled similar abuse cases.
a couple of points that might be useful to make this applicable anywhere: .
1. in the kingdom news #37 tract distributed around the country last fall.

Yes!
for those of you who watch big love, near the end of the episode margene was having a conversation with bill, after he found out she was friends with ana (his new interest).
they were in a discussion about testimony and holy spirit and bill asked her if the holy spirit spoke to her about ana and she asked "how would you know?
boy how familiar does that sound?
Yes, I thought of it that way as well. Separate from that, I saw it as my thiest days, too.
How about when the teenage son went to speak with the 'elder', whatever they call it. That entire conversation was jw all over again!
Priesthood-MS, Older Priest reference, and literature to take home and read!!
most kids that grew up "in the truth", that i knew of did not stick around.
and if they did, they were "in the truth" in name only.
they played both sides and were considered "weak".. do you know of entire families still in without any defection??
Yes, one of my former study conductor's and her entire family, siblings, aunts, uncles, parents...everyone was still in the truth cult. She's only in her 30's. They are originally from Suriname and live in NY/NJ. They've been rolling strong for years now.
I can't help but wonder if more people stay in living so close to the main, international headquarters. That's another thread, though.
if anyone remembers my post about the cake decorating deal, they will alreay know what i'm talking about.

so i made my first cake tonight.
Beautiful, Renee! Nice flowers! Last year, I took Wilton I and loved it. I haven't made time for Courses II and III, still. No fondant, yet. It's so relaxing and the best art for me after writing. Once in a while, I make a cake/icing to decorate for the heck of it.
I'm sorry, ((((Purps)))), that this time is one of sadness for you. Agreed, that sometimes a real life, tight hug is what we need at times. I hope you get one.
it's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.
as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).
last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.
Thanks, Claire!
no firestorms please.
but be honest.
do you think that we are of a lower level of intelligence than those who accept evolutionist' theories?.
I think intelligence of the person is separate from intelligent thought/reasoning. I do not think creationists are less intelligent people but I do think that creationism is a form of less intelligent thought/reasoning.
I agree with your point and wish to add to that, that scientific facts can be tested over and over again (or an attempt if there are no such 'facts' yet). What can be tested with any regards to creationism other than faith?

My thought is that you and I have different outlooks on how we got here.
it just occurred to me that just about every single sport im interested in, is one-man-band whether you talk about martial arts, archery, golf or any other ie.none of them are team sports.
it just looks as if i best operate alone (or could it be i just find it awkward being in team i don't really know) .
heck, the most sports i did where other side wasnt an opponent were few dances such as salsa and recently tango.
Without a doubt, Equestrian!
Also, track & field, football, and rodeos.
