Actually, my JW mom drags my non-JW dad on these lame Patterson Travel Tours each year. My dad drew the line at the Bethel tours in NY, but, just recently they joined another JW couple to tour a few places in Europe.
Must be great to see the world and it's cultures before ithey are all destroyed at Armageddon. Much better to travel in the company of JWs, where you read the text daily and where you don't run the risk of "being alone" so that your mind is corrupted by worldly ideas.
i was thinking back the other day to new years eve 1999. it was a few hours before midnight.
i was in the virgin islands drinking with my girlfriend and some friends and i started to freak out.
i started thinking that maybe christ would return that night, maybe armageddon would come and the earth would be turned inside out and i would die that very night.

my sister got a lt. with the hwy.
patrol to sit down and listen to her today and he agreed that she had some very good questions about how my neohew's case was handled and has agreed to look into some things.

In other words, where does his "moral clarity" stem from? Over and over again, it appears it stems from his religious beliefs.
Hmm...where does it come from? Have you internalized the JW thinking? Which, is, man himself cannot decide right from wrong: Jehovah GOD must decide that. Not everyone who believes in God is a radical cultist who thinks god's guiding his every move. You'd probably do a lot better if you tried to stop projecting this JW aspect upon people.
Secondly, ever heard of women's intuition? Moral clarity is sort of the same phenomenon, only probably not so complex. Without God directing you, without the elders guiding you, without your parents telling you what to do, you just FIGURE IT OUT. You know right from wrong.
I must say I am disappointed in Bush's lack of "moral clarity" in the whole "atrocity" issue. We're dealing with deadly terrorists who have killed out citizens, and we globally decry the "outrage" of humiliation these terrorists had to endure at American hands.
I think he's bucked his moral clarity for a bit and needs to get back on track. (Oh, and BTW, "policital correctness" is probably the antithesis of moral clarity. Unfortunately, I fear Bush is succumbing to the PC police during this election year. Hope he can get back on track.)

So until I see Americans mingling more, in canteens, in marriages, until I see no difference in the outcome of a conviction between a white man and a black man, until I see the differences in black and white salaries equalising, I think I will regard a few thugs spitting as a shameful incident that does not really represent the progress made battling racism in Europe in the past forty years, and regard any American's who think this means the USA has better race relations and policy as just a little under-informed about their own country.
I'm about ready to puke at your self-righteousness. You appear oddly "underinformed" on your country's stats, although you seem to be an "expert" on US stats. So, how many blacks ARE there in the Netherlands? How many interracial marriages do you have in the Netherlands? What stats do you have for "mingling in canteens" of Americans versus the Dutch. What's the salary rate for the black man as opposed to the white man. I know what the salary rate for women is in the Netherlands, because the Dutch manager who hired me screwed me royally. I went to HR and they fortunately fixed it, because he had taken it upon himself to make up his own rules, which didn't conform to company rules. I was a woman, so didn't need as much salary as a man, obviously.
Your "eloquence" about European/Dutch racial/ethnic tolerance sounds wonderful. So back it up.

I can take you for walks through areas in the UK and the Netherlands with LOTS of coffee coloured babies. Interracial marriages are a far bigger deal in the USA. There, 4% of marriages are interacial... but as black people are 12.5% or so of the population, that is really not that impressive, is it?
This is one of the most ridiculous arguments to support US "racism" and European "non-racism" that I've heard thus far. First of all, you claim anecdotally, that there are lots of "coffee colored" babies in the Netherlands? What, no precise statistic, as in with the US? And, where are you getting your stats for the US?
Beyond that, I don't know what you call "impressive" but by your figures, 32% of blacks are in interracial marriages. I'd say that's pretty significant.
Beyond that, who ever said "racial interrmarriage" is a sign of racial tolerance? Many people tend to marry those within their own culture, not because they are racists, but because they often share common cultural values, experiences, etc. You are trying to back into the whole racial issue by your hopscotch logic and random, illogical conclusions
And, just to fill you in, I lived in the Netherlands, and the lack of racial disparity was eerie to me, considering that I'm from CA, where's there is a lot of diversity. It was eerie working and socializing with people who were all of the same race, looked alike, thought alike, etc. I was glad to get back to the US, where there was more diversity, in both ideas and appearance.
And, the woman in the Netherlands who assisted me with relocation was a African American; she was married to a Brit. She mentioned how they had to overcome the predudices they experienced.
So, as much as you'd like to portray your country, or Europe in general, as so racially supportive/tolerant, as opposed to the US, you are providing NO proof.

Does that make me remember with fondness that country? Does that make me 'remember its history, its stuggles for freedom? Do I think about it every day? I'd squawk to no end if someone with a political agenda suddenly insisted the name be changed from an African country to Abraham Lincoln Street. You'd see me picketing too. The US did NOT go out and declare war on terrorists. Obviously, bin Laden FIRST declared war on the US by murdering innocent citizens and by declaring a "holy war" on the US. We are defending our nation. We aren't defending the will of "Jehovah." bin Laden and the terrorists constantly refer to things they do in the name of "Allah." We are (and have been pre 9/11) the "infidel" who must be destroyed. Trying to make this look like some religious war on Bush's part as opposed to refusing to tolerate TERRORISM only reflects very poorly on you. You might try listening to a few more people than Al Franken and Michael Moore.

Yep it's the real think (actually the link works--check it out).
This year I'm torn between doing The Bethel Classic w/ Holocaust, or spending the week in Turlock, CA doing the turkey farm circuit.
