The NWT topic should be on the other topic: Is the NWT really the WT? There were some attempts made but no conclusive evidence. The light was not shown under those translations, so how can there be any real understanding about the Bible? People died for true understanding, and the trinity was a law instead of a teaching. I wish I had more time today to discuss the matter fully. I will be talking more about it on the topic I made about the NWT.

the jw's believe that something is only true if there are two witnesses.. the question is... why do the jw's belive that the nwt is a 'true translation' when there is only one witness to it.

The NWT is only one of many modern english translations. Every modern translation can be used while looking up scriptures with the Watchtower or Awake.

I know what my religion teaches. Did you really want to know why we have a second chance? I can answer that one. The other question needs to have some proof and the doctrine needs to be given to me. I only get the Watchtower and other publications that are inspired from the Bible.

Truth2Me,
I can see why you feel that you still want to come to a good understanding of the Bible. I do not find too much knowledge about what is right and wrong, what is ethical, what a good Bible principle is and the ways we can show we are a true Christian on this Bible Research Forum.
If one is truly repentant of fornication, I don't see anything else to do but welcome you back to God's Organization. Do not forget that you have the truth and it will set you free from saying things like I am a Borg. Saying that will only make Satan happy that you have gone away from the brotherly protection.
Being without the Brothers will only make worldly people come into your life. They do not have the same principles and they even go a step farther and try to make trouble with you since you already have Bible knowledge.
