  any news how things are at bethel just now?

  been thinking, strange they have gb members giving speeches when they look so depressed.

  but maeby there is not many others too choose from.

  The WTS seems trying to get those who have been asked to leave Bethel,(not because of wrongdoing)l to view it this way March 2022 p.17 "Change is challenging for many of us. Some who served in a form of special full-time service for a long time have received a change of assignment. Others have had to relinquish a cherished privilege because of their age. It is normal to feel disappointed when such a change affects us. Initially, we may not fully understand the decision or agree with it. We may miss the way things used to be. And we may become discouraged, feeling that in our new circumstances, we are of little use to Jehovah." So basically, quite your crying, babies.

  "When we base our discussions on material published by Jehovah’s organization, we help the congregation to remain united “in the same line of thought.”​ This often done by the WTS because so many jws make conjectures, and then state them publicly, and when it is elders or circuit overseers, many jws think it must be fact because of their "position." And then they spread it through the organization and it is almost impossible to find the original source. The term the WTS uses is speculation, although the WTS does it all the time in their publications. Usually the WTS has in the past prefaced this by "Bible-based" In the endnote the WTS covers its rear by saying "They offer to others Bible-based publications that are provided by the faithful slave."

  Attendance at the "memorial" each year brings out droves of what have been called "submarine" jws, people who come up only once a year and then don't come back till next year. When you compare the numbers of people counted as having turned in some time reported to WTS, there is a vast difference.

  what makes a witness more moral or righteous or save-worthy if they accept that it is his one and only organization?

(You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth p.192) If that is the case, how were they guided and organised during the dark ages? What group represented God's organization immediately prior to the formation of the Watch Tower Society in the 1884 by Charles Russell, and why didn't Russell just follow them?"   Since the WTS has dropped teaching in print that a "creative" day is 7,000 literal years long, starting around 1987 "1987 WT last used this definition "Second, a study of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and of our location in the stream of time strongly indicate that each of the creative days (Genesis, chapter 1) is 7,000 years long. It is understood that Christ’s reign of a thousand years will bring to a close God’s 7,000-year ‘rest day,’ the last ‘day’ of the creative week. (Revelation 20:6; Genesis 2:2, 3) Based on this reasoning, the entire creative week would be 49,000 years long.", jws no longer have a way to calculate 1914 using the formula the WTS used to determine the length of the 7th day from so-called accurate history in the bible. Now they say "thousands and thousands of years." 2021 "So each of the six creative “days” during which God prepared the earth for life and created life on it could represent extremely long periods of time." Under "Creative Day" in the current Insight book "it may reasonably be concluded that each of the six creative periods, or days, was at least thousands of years in length."

  The length of a public talk

  does anyone ever wonder the good they could have done instead of giving a public talk for 45 or 30 minutes?

  i remember giving my first public talk aged 18 and even then i was thinking ' this is just me making up half truths trying to blind people with jw propaganda'.

  fast forward 15 years to when i gave my final public talk and i was so close to seeding the 30 minutes with ideas that could possibly wake people up but i never had the guts.. in that 30 minutes i could have done so much real good for a person instead of spreading this awful religions dogma.

  I anticipate that eventually there will be video public talks recorded and used instead of in person speakers. Even with the so-called school, there are very few really "good" speakers. Not that the videos of the GB show much quality.
