  In the Insight book volume 2 under "resurrection." it says this crazy thing: "Resurrection During 1,000 Years. The exact number of humans who have ever lived is unknown to humans. However, by way of illustration, if Jehovah resurrects 20 billion (20,000,000,000) people, there would be no problem as to living space and food for them. The land surface of the earth at present is about 148,000,000 sq km (57,000,000 sq mi), or about 14,800,000,000 ha (36,500,000,000 acres). Even allowing half of that to be set aside for other uses, there would be more than a third of a hectare (almost 1 acre) for each person. As to earth’s potential food production, a third of a hectare will actually provide much more than enough food for one person, especially when, as God has demonstrated in the case of the nation of Israel, there is abundance of food as a result of God’s blessing.​"

  I guess those elders think jws don't read or watch the news! But I kept things like that to myself. I was PIMO and had no desire to educate other jws, would more likely believe it, if they discovered themselves, just saying.

  Is there a new rule regarding disfellowshipped people?

  does anyone have any information about a relaxing of the rules regarding family reaching out to disfellowshipped members?.

  i've heard of an elder being openly in touch with a long time disfellowshipped family member.

  apparently the term 'compassionate view' had been bandied about.. i can't find anything relating to this.. i'd be interested what the new rule is in when came into play.. hotb .

  Vidiot, I guess the WTS would like to keep the money coming in from rank and file jws so those people don't forget to keep donating. Lack of growth would definitely cut back on donations, jws that vote with their "pocketbook," and the fast disappearing old jws.

  The Governing Body is Restructuring the Org.and encouranging young ones to REACH OUT!

  the governing body just doesn't let up on encouraging the young children to reach out to do free labor for the organization.

  so another generation of young people with ruined lives.

  another generation of young people that will get old and wake up in their 50s to realize they were in a religious doomsday cult.. and they are getting rid of some old workers that ran the branches of the organization, and giving them different assignments or maybe they are just sending them home, who knows.

  People who leave Bethel, cast aside so to speak, are told to expect help from jw relatives and friends at their old congregation. Some of these people they have little or no contact with for years. There is no formal help how to reintegrate into the jw community outside Bethel.

  SDAs Campaigning in my Area

  not even as active as the jws (whom i have not seen for around a year now), nevertheless i get an occasional leaflet or other publication in my letterbox that seems to be seventh day adventist in origin.. the booklet i received the other day was entitled "national sunday law".

  i also had received this book years ago when i had some dealings with the sdas.. from reddit: "national sunday law involves a conspiracy theory which alleges that the united states government is on the verge of enacting a national blue law that would make sunday a day of rest and worship.

  the theory depends on the idea that the pope is the antichrist and the mark of the beast is worshipped on sunday.

This can be a powerful tool for reaching others, as it shows them that the gospel is not just a theoretical concept, but something that has a real impact on people’s lives. Inviting someone to church, or handing out a tract. It can also be more involved, such as going on a mission trip, leading a Bible study, or becoming a full-time missionary.

  Another form of evangelism is through acts of service and compassion. As Christ Himself modeled for us, showing love and compassion to others is an important part of sharing the gospel message.

  The gospel message should be shared with everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity,or social status. We are encouraged to be bold in our evangelism efforts and to rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and strength. Technology has also become an important tool for evangelism in recent years. Through social media, websites, and apps, we are able to reach people around the world with the message of Christ’s love.

  Evangelism can also take the form of creative outreach initiatives. This includes events such as health expos, community seminars, and Vacation Bible Schools. These events allow us to reach out to people in our communities and share the gospel message in a way that is engaging and relevant to their needs." I talked to the head of SDAs in my area and this is way they basically told me. I see that there activities are more extensive than anything jws do. I found them to be very caring people, nothing like jws.

  DOC, "My elderly mother just said a recent WT spoke of them sending a young guy to law school." (Judah Ben Schroeder (son of late GB Member Albert Schroeder) was sent by WT HQ to Columbia Law School. Not sure if he graduated. But here is a documented example straight from a WT publication.:
