  Why "Removed" instead of "Disfellowshipped or Shunning"

  i was mulling this over last night...too much free time, i know.

  both disfellowshipping and shunning indicate the action of avoiding someone, taking them out of your sphere of associates.

  probably is a better sound bite to say "removed.

  I was mulling this over last night...too much free time, I know. Both disfellowshipping and shunning indicate the action of avoiding someone, taking them out of your sphere of associates. Probably is a better sound bite to say "removed." But then I thought that "removed" too can have a very negative meaning. "When a criminal says someone should be "removed", it usually means they believe the person should be eliminated or gotten rid of, often in a violent or fatal manner. This is a euphemism, a way of referring to a negative concept in a less direct or more palatable way. In this context, it implies a violent act, such as murder. "

  SPIMI Friend Asked Me For The Name Of My (FORMER) Congregation

  a present-spimi friend texted me to ask me the name of my congregation--which is my former and last one that i left right after becoming completely/presently pomo.

  she was a longtime buddy, who was pimq-pimo-ppimi-on-occasion for many decades.

  then shortly before the pandemic, she was dating a brother who was reaching out to become an ms [mind you, this guy was a mic-handler for several decades as well--until an older brother (who was a close friend of his uncle--who converted him into the cultporation years ago--encouraged him to the point of harrassing him to move up the wt corporate ladder🙄😤].

"I became sick while working as a technician in an operating room during the war in Vietnam. I enjoyed helping the sick and injured and had the goal of becoming a surgeon. I arrived in Vietnam in July 1969. Like all new soldiers, I was allowed one week to adjust to the time difference and the heat. I was assigned to work in an army hospital in the Mekong Delta. Many helicopters brought wounded soldiers to the hospital.   Even in 2025 the WTS is still advertising "elders" as "glorious ones: September 2025 p.7 pp12 "Peter mentioned that some in the first-century Christian congregation were speaking disrespectfully about “glorious ones,” that is, Christian elders. How did the faithful angels who saw what was happening react? “Out of respect for Jehovah,” they did not utter a single abusive word against the wrongdoers. Imagine that! The perfect angels refused to speak harshly about those arrogant men. Instead, they left it to Jehovah to judge and rebuke them." So why does the WTS say that their god Jehovah is the one to judge them and rebuke them? Not the elders, not even the angels?!

  joey jojo, I see plenty of people on here that are ex-jws, but still maintain a Christian belief system and find a group that matches the things they feel are important. So I don't judge other people's choices.
