Just reporting Halcon, I don't agree with Charles Taze Russell, just commenting what was going on historically with the Watchtower society, Just reporting not supporting.

What is really Babylon the great?
by Halcon infor believers of god and christ, it seems that it should be obvious that babylon the great of revelation should be all religions and spiritual practices associated with the one true enemy of christ...the devil, satan, the snake etc.
essentially any group or individual practicing and promoting witchcraft, sorcery, devil worshipping etc.
all things practiced in ancient babylon (the nation presumably used as the model for the one in revelation).. or is this too simple of an explanation?.

1950 “The anointed footstep followers of Christ Jesus now remaining on earth, and who are Scripturally known as Jehovah’s witnesses
1950 Only today the anointed witnesses and their good-will companions have no jackals to carry the firebrands of truth.
1950 “He is also preparing our good-will companions, the great crowd of “other sheep”, for the visible society of the new earth.
1952 “Under the term “slave” Christ’s anointed followers of today are viewed as a class, a composite slave or composite servant. God himself so interprets matters: “Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen.” (Isa. 43:10, AS) “
1960 “At this time all Christian witnesses of Jehovah and their good-will companions are looking forward to the Peace-pursuing District Assemblies that are to be held throughout the world during 1960.” (last mention of this term “good will companions”)
Per the WT, this means the WT meant that at one point non-anointed (goodwill companions were the great crowd) but not Jehovah's witnesses.

The Big Secret
by finishedmystery inwhen the gb brought a formal end to all the type/antitypes in so many ways it could be said that they brought the religion to an end.
the other sheep/anointed teaching that leads to a two class religion was originally based on two antitypes--the jehu/jehonadab relationship and something about the cities of refuge.
in that 2014 annual meeting talk david splane even specifically stated that the cities of refuge has no antitype.

Now is the time to return to our heavenly Father’s loving arms and to the congregation—the only safe haven in these last days (WT 2013 11/15 p. 14)
WT 1998 p. 8-13 Keep Safe as Part of God’s Organization
“The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous runs and is given protection.”—PROVERBS 18:10.
It is necessary to stick close to the Lord and his organization to be safe. (WT 1950 2/15 p. 56)

Trump Tariffs started today, Some Countries Caved in early morning.
by liam inusa politicians in charge of the economy for the past 50 years were too stupid to understand how the economy works.
this just proves my theory, that an education on the top tier universities just sucks and means nothing in the real world, unless its in the stem education.
for 50 years usa had zero tariffs on other countries.

Thanks, Balaamass2 for posting that about the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act. Not alive then :) but required study in my econ history class. Seems some missed that event. Doomed to be repeated because people have convenient memories or know little about their own country's history.

Analysis of the Property Ownership Model of Jehovah’s Witnesses
by Paul Bonanno inanalysis of the property ownership model of jehovah’s witnesses.
jehovah’s witnesses have developed a structured and financially efficient model for acquiring, building, and managing properties worldwide.
their approach maximizes resources contributed by members while ensuring that ownership and financial control remain centralized within the organization.

It's been awhile, but the loan arrangement was set aside in reality. No loan to be paid back but a WTS determined how much money must be "donated" to the WTS, now based on a WTS determined a dollar amount per publisher, in the US I think it is $8.50. And that is required. The WTS now has the bank account info of each congregation on the website (limited access though) they can dip into (correct me if I wrong). And instead of a loan that is paid off, the congregation keeps giving until the WTS says it ends. Yes, that must be paid first, before utilities, and other congregation expenses. My husband did the accounts for some time, he was an accountant.

WT JUNE 2025 MODESTLY accept what YOU do not know

pp. 14-19 Just some quote and a few comments from me, very, very repetitious. The GB seems to think that the rank and file came up the years 1914, 1925, 1975, generation (70-80 years from 1914=1994), overlapping generations. The WTS is trying to rewrite their history.
WT JUNE 2025 MODESTLY ACCEPT WHAT YOU DO NOT KNOW
Although we have the capacity to learn, we have limitations in what we do know. (Read Job 37:23,24) Consider Job’s example. He was confronted with a series of questions that revealed just how much he did not know. That experience humbled him and helped to correct his thinking. (Job 42:3-6) We too benefit when we modestly recognize that we do not know everything. Such modesty moves us (including GB) to trust that Jehovah will reveal to us what we really need to know so that we can make wise choices.
Matthew 24:36, what about Matthew 24:45 more to the point. “On this account, you too prove yourselves ready, because the Son of man is coming at an hour that you do not think to be it.
Jehovah has scheduled the time for the end of this system, but we are not in a position to figure out precisely when that will be. (1975?)
Actually, by not revealing the date for the end, Jehovah gives us the opportunity to show that we serve him because we love him and trust in him. We are not serving Jehovah with a deadline in mind, as if our faith in him had an expiration date.
We do well to focus on what we do know—that the last days began in 1914.
Really? “1914 : Failed Watchtower Prophecy
One of the most misleading statements in Watchtower publications is that they accurately foretold 1914 to be the “start” of the conclusion of this system of things. Rather, Watchtower falsely predicted 1914 to be the “end” of the system of things, the conclusion of Armageddon and the start of the earthly paradise.
It is important to know what Watchtower preached would happen in the years leading up to and including 1914, and compare this with what it now claims was said.
What Watchtower said
prior to 1914What Watchtower claims it said
prior to 1914"The year A.D. 1878 … clearly marks the time for the actual assuming of power as King of kings, by our present, spiritual, invisible Lord - …" The Time is At Hand (1911 ed) p.239
"The Watchtower has consistently presented evidence to honesthearted students of Bible prophecy that Jesus’ presence in heavenly Kingdom power began in 1914." Watchtower 1993 Jan 15 p.5
"But bear in mind that the end of 1914 is not the date for the beginning, but for the end of the time of trouble. Zion's Watch Tower 1894 Jul 15 p.226
"Jehovah's witnesses pointed to the year 1914, decades in advance, as marking the start of "the conclusion of the system of things." Awake! 1973 Jan 22 p.8

We cannot know for certain why Jehovah might permit something to occur or exactly how he will act in our behalf.
If matters do not turn out as we expected (includes the GB who set the datre) we need to remember that Jehovah is still in full control. We are confident that he will provide us with the direction we need, even if not in the same miraculous way that he sometimes did in the past
(But only through the GB) (WT February 2022 p. 2-7) (During the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical. Of course, Jehovah will not speak to us personally. He will likely provide direction through his appointed representatives. That will hardly be the time to second-guess the direction or to view it with skepticism,”)
Watchtower 2013 Nov 15 p.20
"At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not."Most what the WTS says, hang them with their own words.

I think one can only be sure if they are at a congregation and take a head count. Other congregations, would need to have an-exjw or PIMO do a head count there. Remember officially the headcount includes babies in arms and people sleeping and people who get there late, even if just before the finalprayer.

perhaps you were afraid that your workmates, friends, or family would turn against you.
