According to this article the Catholic Church had a flip-flop on their abortion doctrine. At one time the Catholic Church condoned abortions.

Flip-flop-flip contradictions. Any other religions you know of guilty of these?
by FatFreek 2005 injehovah's witnesses are loaded with them, from resurrection of the sodomites, the superior authorities, transplants of human organs, oral sex between married couples, etc etc.. i've been trying to think of other christian religions with contradictions, especially flip-flop flip contradictions with a return to the original doctrine.. please help me out here..

But this was changed depending upon who is "in charge" or the one "making the decisions" for the patient.Yes,From what I understand, they use to say that a JW Doctor or JW nurse, could use their own conscience to give a blood transfusion.
If a JW is in charge making the decisions, they would NOT give a transfusion.
But
If the JW is taking instructions or orders from "a superior" or "someone else" who is making the decisions, and is asked to perform a transfusion, that is when the JW must use their own conscience as to whether they will be involved or not.https://docdro.id/Cvgd5Da
