January 2020 Watchtower - the anointed
by Listener init's very odd that the jan. 2020 watchtower was nearly 3 weeks later than normal.
another odd thing about this watchtower is that it has two articles (about the anointed) that is very similar to two articles they wrote only four years earlier.the fact that they have even reprinted two articles that are only four years old suggests that they continue to have numerous problems surrounding their teaching's of the anointed and problems with those claiming to be anointed.here are a few of the differences between both the 2016 and 2020 articles -2016 watchtower states.
anointed christians need to be taught by jehovah just like everyone else.. 2020 watchtower statesof course, anointed christians need to be taught by jehovah through the congregation just like everyone else.. four years ago, they acknowledged that it was only jehovah who were teaching the anointed but the newest watchtower now states that it is through the congregation.watchtower 2016 states there will be 144,000 ruling with jesus in heaven.

Your not kidding! When I think of all the folks on this board, who could have made a much better living for themselves if it had not been for the Watchtower.
There are people on this board who have great talents and if they could have went to college to further their education, they would be making 10 times the income they are making now.
But because of the Watchtower, they are working 2 and 3 jobs, and still struggling to make ends meet.

Thanks for the update on that criminal. Makes your stomach turn sour to think that this could have been dealt with much sooner.
No one brings more reproach upon the name "Jehovah" than the governing body, who refuse to let the authorities handle all of these abuse matters.
Zeb is right! That "clergy immunity" crap they try and pull in court isn't fooling officials anymore. One of these days maybe the Watchtower will learn that these judges see right through them.

Very true Blondie! I visited prisons when I was a regular pioneer and there were metal detectors. And bags had to be checked also.
I read a post on Reddit that described that at International Conventions, there were security JW's checking the bags of other JW's. I was a little baffled at that to. What exactly were they looking for?
Are they worried about recording equipment? Were they hoping to expose apostates dressed as JW's?
People are just not shocked anymore concerning things they see and hear about JW's.
When JW's are being led by bald-headed mental cases, then what do people expect?
I keep hearing that one day there won't be anymore Kingdom Halls, and everything will be done online. JW's will just send in their donations and watch JW-TV, putting in their time over the internet.
Almost that way now! Have you seen their website lately? Mostly videos!
The Watchtower Society is so connected and wrapped up with the world, that the thought of seeing them close down won't be any time soon.
It would take more than just abuse lawsuits to shut their doors.

I was told they were just using that old address for the "example" form. One person told me they believe those letters are an update to the (Do Not Call) information that was once used.
To tell you the truth, those 2 letters still baffle me a bit.

by neat blue dog ini'll be the first to say that the russian government is pretty terrible and overreaching in its', power but that's not what this is about.
in a recent hearing, a witness for the jws said this under oath:.
one thing makes jehovah’s witnesses unique: they do not rely on strict rules or the authority of any particular leader, instead, they try to help adherents develop a bible-trained conscience so that each individual can personally and voluntarily make decisions guided by the bible.. i'm sorry but that is just not true.

Oh brother! Now I've heard it all! Whether it's the blood issue or any other issue, JW's "must" obey their Watchtower governing body or they are out.

I have questions about those example letters to.
Such as: Are JW's going back to homes where they have been told to not come back by one member of a family, and yet, there is another member in the family that asked them for a visit?
Are JW's trespassing on property using the excuse that they were just updating their files, when in reality, they were there to preach to a person who is renting a room in someones home and NOT part of the family?
Not to long ago, a JW was shown in a video slapping a woman in an attempt to see her 14 year old daughter. Did the mother contact the congregation or Watchtower Society to end all contact on her property? What excuse was given by the JW for the visit? Updating records? Is the mother suing the Watchtower?
All kinds of questions popped up in my head about these.
And what kind of idiot needs a seminar to preach to inmates? The next thing you know, they will have an entire manual of prison preaching.
They show more concern for inmates than they do the children in the congregations!
