(Acts 8:26-29) However, many modern-day experiences give evidence that angels behind the scenes are supporting our Kingdom-preaching work and guiding us to those "rightly disposed for everlasting life."* (Acts 13:48) How important it is to share in the ministry regularly so that we are available to do our part in finding those desiring to "worship the Father with spirit and truth"!--John 4:23, 24.

Let me get this straight... angels do not lead us by speaking to us but are guiding us... the only catch is they can only guide us if and when we are reularly sharing in the ministry. (Do the angels get copies of time reports?) Did I get that right?

The way I was taught back in the fifties, Black people will not turn white nor will white people turn black. It will be a melding of the races and all people will be a tan color.

What are the current rules to have a JW funeral?

in light of the mj debacle clogging up almost all channels of communications today, i began wondering: what does it take to be told that you cannot have a proper jw burial service?.

in the case of jackson, we suspect that he was either da'd or dissasociated at some point in the late 80s.

i can remember rumors before i left in the early 80s of a rift with the elders over that thriller album...and that he was either privately or publicly reproved over it.. he is known to have married a scientologist, divorced her, and later married another woman to have kids by arrangement, then divorcing her, and possibly getting into a third marriage.. he is known to have dabbled in both islam, the kabala, and possibly other religions.

im reaaaaallly tired of the jws, particularly those in my life, sneering at people, especially exjws, smirking cockily and laughing their derisive laughs because they think they are the fucking end all.

just sick to the point that i am sick from it all.. my estranged husband is still a jw and in the advent of my moving out of his house, he has become a rabid jw.

his mother who is an ex like me, and who is shunned by him and his sister and her family, is married to an elder.

i hope you all had a great thanksgiving..... my husband was so inspired he went up to the attic and dragged down our tree the same day (the 23)... i have been decorating for 2 days serenaded by vince geraldi's charlie brown christmas music.

for some reason it feels extra special this year.

perhaps because after waffling for years with the witnesses i was finally able to let go this summer after finding this site.. so when are you putting up your christmas tree?.

I put my tree up the day after Thanksgiving. Then, I put up the decorations all weekend. I love listening to Christmas music and seeing all the beautiful lights.

i can't understand why the rank and file can't see who is really causing the pain by seperating loved ones over personal beliefs.. one woman says about her disfellowshipped brother, "this has been so hard for me to bear because in every other respect, he has been a wonderful brother to me.

i especially miss him at large gatherings.".

I thought the part about not blaming themselves if a child "leaves Jehovah." They place full blame on the person who left. What happened to train up a child... Maybe they didn't do a thorough job of brain washing their child...

Just the name of the article makes my stomach turn. Leave Jehovah??? No, I didn't leave God, I left a cultish organization that does not represent God or Jesus or anything remotely connected to them.

So following the rebellion but before the conception of offspring by Adam and Eve

Seems to me I remeber a time when JW believed that one child was conceived before rebellion since God told them to be fruitful and they would go to work on that as soon as God said it. Blondie, do you remember this? Seems it was used to count how long ago it was that Adam and Eve was created. Am I crazy, or does anyone else remember that?
