  it seems that the governing body may have recently perceived that they are losing the next generation of witnesses and also have no emerging "b" team to replace elders dying off.. but words and fewer meetings aren't going to change that.. religions don't endure because they make any sense!

  they endure because they build an infrastructure and institutions that preserve their particular traditions.

  this is the reason for the success of the catholic church - and, especially the mormon church ( with its laughable beliefs).. but the governing body has been busy tearing down what little infrastructure of support the organization has.

  Matthew 24:14 fulfilled

  you've probably discussed this a lot already but i started to have serious doubts when they announced that matt 24:14 was fulfilled.

  even though in 3 countries, i think, (like afghanistan..) it had not been preached in at all and billions of people elsewhere will never hear about jehovah.

  again the answer is probably that jehovah will make the final judgment and he is all justice etc.

  I think Matthew 24:14 was fullfilled in 70 C.E. Matthew 24: 3-51, Jesus said "all these things will come upon THIS generation." He was talking to his disciples so they understood it meant their generation. The good news was preached before the end came in 70 C.E. Paul said so at Colossians 1:23. Jesus never said it had a greater fullfillment but the WTS did.

  Is this a good question to ask the PO and sister studying with my wife???

  my wife has been studying for a short while with a sister from a local congregation whose husband happens to be the po of the congregation.

  they are not presently doing a conventional bible study, they are doing a topical study, having done heaven and paradise earth, next week (when he shows up to chat with me and answer some of my questions) the topic may be either generation or michael/jesus.

  in a phone conversation with the po husband, i had asked him about the last days section of the 1989 reasoning book and the statement 'the generation that was alive at the beginning of 1914 is now well along in years.

  matthew 10.8 speaks about the preaching work and states " you received free, give free".

  the society no longer charges for the magazines, but should witnesses still accept contributions from householders?

  does this not conflict with the bible?

  let me know thru your studies who do you think the king of the north is?.

  russia or china i'm guessing but that would be a logical choice.. this is my opinion but i think with the united states getting involved in territories that are under control of russia and china is reaching a boiling point and eventually somone is gonna say i have had it i'm not taking this anymore.. i read this also that in a chinese proverb they have a sayin "kill the chicken to frighten the monkey" the chinese beleive the attack on iraq was the chicken and they are the monkey.. now i'm hearing they are or may blockade iran.

  if this happens it could be the final straw but maybe not but i think very soon we will see the knig of the north rise up in defiance to the united states.. let me know what you think please!.

  i hate the "new light" bull shit they have pronounced the end of the world that many times iam so shocked they still have followers.however with "new light"you can get away with anythink.. what do you guys really hate about the watchtower society.

  what i hate about the bros is there bare faced hypocrisy they preach to people look at the leaders in you faith,see how they conduct themselves.and on this base they try to get folkes to turn away from there chosen faith.but you dare question an elder or any wtbts teachings or the way they deal with "problems within the cong"you are kicked out or at best marked as a troublemaker.ok for them to highlight the faults in other faiths but no way must anyone highlight the evil in the witnesses!!!!!!!

  this just warms the coggles of my heart to know that this scum sucking pig is still described as a "good man" who "attends the jehovah's witnesses meetings" regularly and helps "build kingdom halls".

  The Kingdom hall I used to attend has two child molesters. One admitted he molested a little boy and was sent to prison for 10 years but he left the KH in good standing. He got out about a little over a year ago. The day he got out, the following week they threw him a party. The other one admitted he molested his step granddaughter and spent only a few days in jail. The grandmother never pressed charges, instead sent her granddaughter to live with someone else and he still is being used at the KH.Someone suggested a letter should be read on him to alert members and that person was disfellowshipped.
