New forum: one month progress report
by Simon inwell, we survived the first month at least!
yes, the new forum is now 1 month old.. of course there have been some issues and i'm grateful that people have been patient while i worked on them.
a big thank-you to everyone who's been patient, have provided useful feedback or just been willing to adapt to something new during the transition.. i've also made some improvements along the way and am fairly happy with how things are from a basic functionality and performance perspective so it's time to start looking at some of the new features i've been planning.

Tear down the whole of South Africa
by Louise inthere was a statue outside the rhodes university.
a 30 year old black student then threw his pooh on the statue and that got the ball rolling to pull the statue down.
the board of this university built also gives out burseries and grants to previously disadvantaged black south africans and not disadvantaged black south africans.. there has been a huge debate in the country and now the statue has been removed.

Our president (gwad he is pathetic) hasn't even come out and taken a firm stand against this. He has't issued a statement in the papers or in any media. He is silent. -

Having my stitches out....
by Louise inand i'm a little scared.. yes they are ready to come out.
my thumb pad is tingly and burning.
the skin around the stitches is numb.. with the injury being so bad, it is going to take at least a year for my thumb to be 90% recovered.

ok - so that was beeping painful and I have a high pain thresh hold. The ones through the nail were a breeze, but the other 4 through the meat were so painful I screamed at the doctor and told him I would take them out myself.
He calmed me down and proceeded to get them out. It was a combination of the awkwardness of the stitches along with the caked blood which refused to budge.
They are out and now more healing can begin. I've dipped it in saline solution, alcohol swabbed it, dabbed it dry and put a thin gauze over it while I'm at work (gems an' all)

Slammed it in the kitchen door crack - so hard that the wood sliced through and detached the thumb pad meet from the bone. Not my best day. -

Question for atheists and nonbelievers
by pressman ini profess to teach the truth to you all and get you to all to think and believe.
believing in christ through his words and not through evil religious cults, like hoj and jw, can and will save you.
do you all realize that every time you are victorious and receive something of value through your hard work and sweat, it was our holy god who blessed you.

NewYork44 - AGREED!
I have a pretty damn good life too. And even when I didn't - I know why and I dealt with it maturely and made decisions to change certain things and accept others.

The feeling is like itchy, burny, tingly, pulling, sensitive, numbish - all in one. It's very irritating and my thumb can't 'rest' - like restless legs - if you've ever had that.
I just hope it's not sore!

Jehovah kicks a puppy
by Simon intechnically incorrect, but effectively he does .... if we're to believe the genesis account the serpent deceived eve and made her eat of the tree of knowledge.
it all went pear shaped from there on in, although most people believe it was an apple (boom tish).. but anyway .... either it was a literal serpent that could talk on it's own behalf or, as people typically believe, it was satan who was the puppet master and possessing the creature.. the first raises all sorts of questions that contradict the whole bible narrative (another creature that could reason, talk, debate existence and law etc...) so let's go with "the satan theory".. how does got react to his 'perfect' creation immediately being completely imperfect as soon as he takes it out of the box?
(he's like 0 for 4 ... satan, serpent, woman, man ... all break his rules).

You know what always gets me about this god ....is that this almighty god got offended and let his ego get the better of him. Now he expects to be worshiped and placated with offerings and humans begging forgiveness for sins done and thought of being done and not being done but you never know you may just be doing, because you are imperfect and thus flawed and cursed and pathetic and sinful and must die.
But it's all your choice. Choose god and live or don't choose god and die.
