  Any special plans for the 3 day weekend??? usa folks

  we are going to a baseball game.

  i would rather watch paint dry.

  however, a good excuse to do beer and pizza, hot dogs & beer, popcorn & beer, burgers & beer, beer and beer.

  i drive by a kh every morning after i drop my son off at his baby sitter.

  the thought enters my mind ever day to actually stop in just before the meeting started.

  not to disrupt things, mind you.

  Each congregation meets once on the weekend and twice during the week (usually Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm).

  If more than one congregation shares the hall - as is usually the case - then each of those congregations does the same thing.

  Add to that, meetings for field service. Those are usually held at 9am during the week - especially Wednesday.

  If you decided to go in, prepare to be Love-Bombed.

  How Much Time Did You Spend as a JW?

  15 years baptized .

  also, does the resentment for jw's grow in a linear or a exponential manner with time spent as a jw?.

  I was baptized at 14.

  Faded by 34.

  25 (mostly) wasted years.

  i need to get these professional prom pictures to the girl i took to prom and i'd like to leave some kind of impression like "it was a fun night" since we don't really talk much..being she has a boyfriend now.

  i still have our tickets....should i staple one to the envelope and just hand all of it to her at lunch?

  orrrr...should i hand it to her while she's walking with her boyfriend?

  What was your most humiliating point of being a jw?

  mine was when my mom signed me up to sit at a table at our local university.

  we had to sit there and talk to students as they passed by our table.

  a few people came up to start a conversation and i didn't even know what they were talking about.

  Richie - Today in English we were discussing religion and I talked about my atheistic views and used my "accurate knowledge" of the Bible to make it work against itself. Then this girl literally goes, "but you came to my door once". So then I had to explain that My mother is a JW and I occasionally go out to appease her...

  I could've died right then and there.

  Oh man!! Richie - you poor thing!!! LOL {{{HUGS}}}

  I was always so grateful that we lived out of territory. Kids at school knew I was a witness but we never talked about it in class. Just one-on-one occaisionally. And I was a zealous witness.

  Successfully faded. I stopped attending meetings regularly over 15 years ago.

  I stayed in depressed state because I believed that somehow they still had the 'truth' but it was just a little warped and needed to be cleaned up a bit.

  I didn't date and didn't celebrate holidays for a long time.

  Dating came first. Started celebrating some holidays with new boyfriend about 3 years ago.

  Know that I've finally learned the truth about the truth, I will never, ever go back.

  flat stanley seems to be lost.

  rhys hasn't recieved a postcard from him in weeks now...last one was from joy in florida.

  i know we had a poster in alaska who sent a card, but so far, it hasn't arrived.. last i heard, he was en route to california.
