  an article in "new york" magazine tells of professional donors who sell a pint of their blood as many as 444 times in a period of only four years.

  but whether it is bought or not, blood is potentially dangerous.

  There have been a few threads on JWD that referred to the and someone has posted scans of the article here.

  Dang! Wish I could remember more...

  It might have been posted by Elsewhere. I'm going to look at his prior postings. But, man! there's so many of them it could take me all week...!!!

  If "The END" was coming in 1975, some go so far as claiming the fall of 1975, why print MILLIONS of magazines for the months of October, November,and December of 1975 ? Why announce when the Memorial would be held in 1976 ? Why build so many new Kingdom Halls from 1973 or abouts right on through ? With in a 200 mile radius of where I grew up 6 new halls were built during the 1974 - 1975 service year, why bother ?

  I remember asking those same exact questions. The answer I was given at the time was that we would need them after Armegeddon to maintain theocratic education of ourselves and the myriads that would be brought back to life. The systems in place pre-Armageddon were training for the *real* education work that would follow during the 1000 year reign of Christ.

  With all due respect, beep,beep...

  I was extremely active in 1975 and my dad was PO at the time. I have clear recollection of talks with 'strong suggestion' that Sept/Oct 1975 was to be the end.

  Somewhere on this site is a link to society literature that highlights the same.

  i heard from her almost a month ago that she and her hubby were coming down here to put a bid on a house in the bear creek area, but haven't heard a word since then.

  Did Rutherford, Knorr or Franz have any kids?

  does anybody know if any of these 3 had children?

  if so, did they remain in the wts and gain any positions of influence?.

  i always thought the wts had very little regard for children, not just the fact that they expect the dubs to sacrifice their childrens lives over the blood issue, but even the designs of the kingdom halls, no rooms or activities for children, just forced indoctrination.. could this stance be the result of a series of presidents who had no understanding or care for children themselves?

  You are a survivor as soon as you get your diagnosis.

  I'm 7years and 4.5months past that date.

  I understand what you are saying about living with untreated cells remaining. Your treatment decisions are much more difficult than mine were (I had no real options other than chosing my medical team) but I know for a certainty that I healed much better because I was confident that we were treating ALL cancer cells and that none remained in my body. (I even pushed for a colonoscopy to ensure that there was no hint of trouble there either!!)

  My thoughts were - If I'm going to give up this much of my time, money, life to treat this damn disease, Y'all better do you job completely because I will *not* be this nice if we have to do this all over again!!

  A breast is a terrible thing to lose. But it's not your entire life. There is so much more. As difficult as it may be, I think I may have chosen mastectomy.

  Regardless... Everyone faced with this decision has to make it for their own reasons. NO ONE makes this decision easily.

  I wish both you and Brenda healthful remission and 'sunshine' everyday.
