  ive been twice to hurricane rebuilds.

  i helped with hurricane andrew and maryland.

  yes, its true that 98 percent of the people we helped were mostly the jw's.

  A while back I heard the Presiding Overseer state that they were having to turn there WT sign out now instead of leaving it on all the time because they were hurting financially.

  Wow. I had never heard this one.

  It's part of the Advertising, though... When a business is struggling, do you really want to stop advertising? Especially when it's only electricity???

  How many here were mistreated by their "elder" fathers?

  i am starting to notice some posts about ex-j.w.

  's being mistreated, abused, by their fathers who were elders.. i wonder if this is quite common?.

  My siblings and I were.

  Police removed two siblings from the home and there were other police interventions. Early on, neighbors (in a different) state knew of abuse but never reported it. 15-20 years later they talked to me (now an adult) about the abuse they witnessed (beatings with a 1x2 on the front lawn was one type of abuse) and somewhat apologized.

  None of us had even a semi-normal childhood.

  My dad was a respected, admired and loved elder. Presiding Overseer from 1974 - 1976, I believe.

  Cults Suck.

  Told I have anemiai and neutropenia

  does anyone here know what the hell that means, just spent a week in the hospital for cellulitis, and while there the blood tests taken, many of them everyday and then i have been set up with appts with internal medicine and the hematology/onconology clinic.

  so if anyone has any insight into what this may mean please to let me know.
