  Would "spooky action at a distance" be a feasible mechanism for mystical experiences?

  If that's the frame of reference from which you would understand the experience, I am happy to adopt it. I would add "inexplicable spook action at a distance" to make it more correct.

  Gluon, boson, photon. Names we call things we can't see, taste, touch, feel, or hear that do stuff to our physical reality.

  Imagine saying those words while high (glooooo-oooonnnnnn, booooooooooo-sahhhhhnnnn).

  Once you are done having fun with that, imagine that I say they are just metaphorical constructs we use for interpretting observed phenomenon in physical reality that we assign labels to so we can pretend they are real in terms of Science.

  Then demonstrate that the latter imagining is false.

  Well, I think their reasonings support a pet hypothesis of mine:

  Habitual milk consumption leads to criminal behavior.

  A study conducted recently revealed that 100% of inmates in the US had consumed some milk containing substance at some point in their life. Most confessed to being habitual milk drinkers throughout their infancy and early childhood. This has led me to shocking concerns over milk consumption and its possible contribution to all kinds of criminal behavior. Ted Bundy even drank milk!

  on page 146 of what does the bible really teach?, the opening sentence of paragraph 6 purports to represent one of the six criteria for determining the true religion.

  it reads: "god's servants base their teachings on the bible.".

  If I had had the kind of integrity to my own faith that you describe, I wouldn't be here. Do you believe I lack integrity too? You are misusing the word integrity, integrity is being true to yourself. Which I fully believe defd to be.

  KNOCK IT OFF. We are not here to run active JWs away or to exact vengeance for wrongs done to us on people who had damn all to do with it. You got frustrations to take out? Fine, so do I. Take it out on your local BOE or the New York elite. Don't punish someone who is already in conflict.

  If you can't get the sense of that, maybe you should go. Victims of abuse often become abusers, you know. I hope you can see what you are doing through someone else's eyes.

  jws use magazines etc for studying the bible; cws use the bible itself for reading.

  jws stay focused on lots of rules; cws focus on the principles of love, joy etc.

  Um, I believe this is going to be very counterproductive, defd. Unless you are looking for an excuse to get your feelings hurt and leave.

  Yes, he is a real JW.

  Does disobeying a directive from the Governing Body make somene not a real JW? In that case, there are no real JWs. None of them obey everything the Governing Body says, not even the Governing Body.

  Since that can't be used as a criteria for determining that he is not a JW, I would say he certainly is a JW, and more specifically, he is exactly the sort of JW I want to talk with. He doesn't seem to mind trying to support his doctrines of faith. I feel we should make sure he continues to feel comfortable testing his dogma against reason.

  However, I don't see any reason for him to test his dogma against vitriol.
