what is your definition of a friend?.
i believe you have one or two friends through out a lifetime.
all others are just people you know.
I have some true friends. IMO, a friend is someone to whom you can say any damned fool thing and still enjoy the companionship. A friend is your friend whether you like what they say, do, or feel or not. A friend is someone for whom your concern and love is unconditional.
Only two of my friends are JWs, including my wife. I have many friends who are not JWs.

there are risks associated with abrupt elimination of delusions.
often such delusion stripping results in extended periods of depression, with all the accompanying possibilities including suicide.

being announced at service meetings this week at all us congregations:.
a letter read during the announcements states that due to increased costs of health insurance and vehicles provided for traveling overseers (circuit and district overseers) the watchtower bible and tract society has determined the need to ask for a specific "contribution" for the "traveling overseer assistance arrangement".. .
until this date expenses of this sort were paid from the worldwide work or general fund of contributions.. .
P.S. Oops! We forgot to mention one thing. They are insured by the Watchtower Circuit Overseer Insurance Policy Underwriters, Inc. Keep in mind, that is a separate, for-profit legal entity not to be confused with the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
Please send us the money and trust us to dispense it with their long term best interests in mind. Speaking of long-term interest, that is the kind of accounts the money will while away its time in. Peace be unto you, saps. I mean, brethren.
