i skimmed over it (going to lunch right now) and saw the wtbs mentioned a few times amongst ngo's and other scarlet colored orgs.
I read page 6 only and can't figure out why they said they donated that much money. BUT my guess is that they donated that much money towards the worldwidework in that country, it can't be to set up any schooling or anything. They probably count money spent at the local Branch and missionaries as donations too. But that's just my guess.

some cable networks have the BBC, you have to call your cable company, or you have to get satallite service.
Someone might record it though and distribute it, or the BBC might sell copies of it.

you know that jws go door-to-door but how many people do they really reach?
we drive tons of cars and could reach people every day with a simple message and a link to a website like this.
I've used those kits to do a St.Patty's parade one year, but they fade and break down in less than 6 months. They aren't really commercial grade and weather resistant.
Now my friend ordered 300 (min order) of bumper stickers that say "Save the Rednecks - they are a dying inbreed" and she sold them at the flea market and they were $1 each and are still holding up under the FL sun. That was her coined phrase, it's really hilarious if you think about it.

That is the link to the company who makes PolyHeme and it describes the product which they state is made from "human blood" ... I really wonder what this will do to the hard-core JWs who don't like grey areas... I emailed my mom the newspaper article link and the link to the company.

I think they are specifically looking for exJws who have failed in life to prove their point... when they seem someone accomplished, educated, happy, etc... they don't have any fuel to their theory. I think you did a wonderful job and I'm glad it went well!

if your like me, you had been active, and had been recieving the magazines at the counter, every week.
then we start missing meetings, then disappear.
When I was a pioneer people used to bring in their "old magazines" that they weren't able to "place" and we were to hand them out at laudrymats, etc. People used to literally bring in stacks of mags that were anywhere from 1 - 5 to maybe 10 years old.
So they were very active yet, never managed to place all those mags and now it became up to us to get them out there. Anytime I ever see mags at any Doc's office or laudrymat I throw them away. I just hate for them to be lying around.
upon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.
they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.
i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.
Does anyone watch MYTHBUSTERS? They are hilarious... they take urban legends and use science experiements to either prove or disprove them.
I wish there was a mythbusters for JWs, every quote would be held up to the test of PROVING IT. You can't go to University and cite stories or examples without a reference that can be checked factually. Even the Inquirer and trash tabloids check their facts and stories better then the WTS when it comes to these obscure assembly stories.
those of us who are multi-generation "born into the wts" people, exist only because the wts exists.
my grand parents were all jws, both of my parents were born and raised in the religion and i was born and raised in the religion.
the simple fact of the matter is that if it was not for the wts existing neither of my parents would exist and therefore neither would i. sure brings and interesting new twist on the time travel "go back in time and kill your father before you were conceived" paradox.
I don't think our parents having sex and procreating had anything to do with the WTS.
I'm pretty sure if they weren't as busy with "field service" you'd actually have more family members, not fewer. They would have been home more making whoopie.
The WTS always encouraged pioneering and singleness and holding off on having children because we were living at the time of the "end" so you being born wasn't a result of their allegience to the WTS, rather their need to just have sex.
Your religion has been passed down, but so has your language, your color of eyes, lots of things.
