  I really don't care what the family does. I won't be able to know, will I?

  I always say that funerals are for the benefit of the living, not the dead. They can say what they like over my bones.....if it makes them feel better.

  An ancient Greek, Demosthenes, is known for saying that what a man wishes to be true ,he will readily believe.....

  We must not kid ourselves by being too willing to believe. That gives birth to fake news and Watchtower mistaken doctrines.

  Actually, there is an optional skill that enables Alexa to read you todays Daytext. ...... I guess it was created by some enterprising dub.

  I love Alexa.... she wakes me up, reminds me of important things, tells me the news and weather, if I needed would check the trains and road situation. That’s without playing radio, music , and reading an audio book. Etc etc.......

  No, I have no concerns about her listening to me.....I do not use the “drop in” feature or make calls through it

  Why are they still so obsessed with Dr Spock?

  comment in today's wt, was about dr spock, and his book "that every parent in the world read" apparently (!).

  if it wasn't for the wt's obsessions with the guy i would have no idea who he was, neither i suspect would the vast majority of the congregation.

  there has been a mass of parenting books written since and yet they keep harking back to this one.. do they have no idea how out of touch this makes them seem?.

  WT article writers quote other quotes made by WT writers in the past. They have neither the time or inclination to read the books for themselves. It is lazy writing and following the ‘ party line’

  Dubs go shopping and see a kid acting up to his Mum and say “ See, that’s where the wisdom of the world gets you”.

  I noted the selective quotes they made from self-help books, which missed the point of the assertion technique entirely.

  When should you Disassociate yourself?

  i have been having discussion with my sister (relative), who is an active witness, about writing a letter of disassociation.

  the reason being is that i have not attended the meetings in over a year and it's been 4 years since i have went out in the jw ministry.. i going to try to sum this topic up.

  my sister think that i should not da myself because i have not done any immoral act in her thinking.

  I can never see the benefits of d/a' ing oneself.

  Why play by their rules,? if they want me out they will have work for it ...and appeals...

  Why stop any family and old friends from talking to you?

  It is announced as if you had been disfellowshipped . They naturally assume the Worst about you.

  It is up to you but I prefer to lie low and let sleeping dogs lie
