Often thought along these lines... Actually, in the past I think they did honour Jesus more, certainly the old anointed bros of my childhood would speak of "The Lord" in warm terms . It was not Jehovah they meant but Jesus with whom they felt a special bond.
It was JFR who coined the organization's name in the mid '30s as the Great Crowd were identified in their beliefs.
As others have said, the Bible says, All the Judging is delegated to the Son( John ch 5) and it is he who seperates the sheep from the goats (Matt 25) . Furthermore "In the name of Jesus every knee should bend (Php. 2)
At one time we they used to use the expression 'Jehovah's Christian Witnesses ' .That was a bit better.
