Info for Expectant Mothers is illuminating. They are aware of the risks their blood policy brings....
"8. Postpartum Hemorrhage: Discuss with your doctor postpartum hemorrhage (PPH).
PPH is excessive and potentially life-threatening bleeding that may occur during or after
delivery. Ask your doctor how he will prevent or control PPH. Although PPH is not com-
mon, it is serious, and advance preparation by your obstetric team is vital. There are a
number of basic management options, such as using medical or surgical techniques to re-
duce bleeding, recycling your own blood (cell salvage), and administering clotting factors
(which could include blood fractions). Ask your obstetrician to monitor you closely for
bleeding after delivery.
9. Emergency Hysterectomy: Inform your obstetrician in advance whether or not you
would consent to an emergency hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus) if all other
measures have failed to stop major bleeding after childbirth. In such cases, early emer-
gency hysterectomy can be lifesaving"

Our Spiritual Heritage of Failed Expectations
by neat blue dog inlast sunday's watchtower tells the story of a man who:.
was baptized in 1908 at the age of 20. he was very confident that he would soon receive his reward.
in fact, when he proposed marriage in 1911, he told his prospective bride, pearl: “you know what is going to happen in 1914. if we are going to get married, we better do it soon!” did this christian couple give up the race for life when they did not receive their heavenly reward in 1914?

Do you mean "Expectation postponed makes a heart sick"....Prov. 13: 12
That is certainly true . Now that we struggle with the ailments common to old people, it must be sickening to those still clinging to their faith

I’ll second that , Room 215, very well said. It’s a point not lost on many older dubs who are at a loss with the current video /IPad techno society that it has become.
From what we see, this is background to the scriptures served on a plate , nothing that could not be found by a google search , but that requires a little brain power and effort to lift one finger .

The smug arrogance of "having the truth".
by stuckinarut2 inhas anyone noticed that witnesses (from the top down) seem to have a quiet form of smug arrogance toward all non witnesses?.
perhaps it comes from being told how "special and unique" they are but they end up looking down on all normal members of the community because they are not witnesses.. so any form of "love" they show those in the territory is also limited as long as they accept the message...otherwise they are viewed contemptuously as "worldly" and therefore of little value...after all, they will be destroyed right?.

Yes, I was a smug, WT opinionated so and so. Looking back, I cringe at some of the smart ass comments I made to my work mates . They were very decent not to hold it against me.
The WTS teaches you to be like that. You believe you are one of God's chosen people . You have knowledge that shows the great minds of the world to be wrong .... we used to joke that our little kids "know more than the Pope of Rome" , if they know basic "truths"
No wonder we were big heads!

"This is Where They Lived Happily Ever After Begins"
by The Bethelite ini saw this sign (i'm sure the bride must have bought it) at a wedding rehearsal dinner yesterday.. yes, the smiling bride was there ordering her soon to be groom around as they were setting up their party decorations.
i'm sure today october 5th will would be the happiest day of their young lives.. have you ever noticed that many movies end at the wedding ceremony?
because for the vast majority of marriages that is the best it ever gets!

Marriage sure ain't a guarantee of lifelong happiness, although it looks that way to a couple in love.
Reality sets in and , yes we change , but so what? You can either cry " failure, I made a mistake " or just accept the reality and get on with it. At times that can be a very hard choice ..... living up to your vow. Buu often it is the right one.
For me, marriage was unhappy for years as we struggled to live as dubs, but after my rejection of it and the initial trauma , things got better ( we stopped argueing about it ) Now in senior years we depend on each other and I have to say that she has been great.
So if you stick with it , it might get better, I am glad now that I stayed the course.

by BluesBrother intodays study article for 6th october discusses 2 cor 4 " we do not give up.".

hmm, what is the difference between expectations, predictions or prophecy?

Todays study article for 6th October discusses 2 Cor 4 " We Do Not Give Up."
In the race for life Christians must not give up or be distracted by , among other things, postponed expectations . Hmm, what is the difference between expectations, predictions or prophecy? The word expectation puts the emphasis on the individual not the leaders that wrote the misleading material.
We have an example of a faithful couple who "expected to receive their heavenly reward in 1914" but remained faithful for many decades after. There is no mention of those who did not do so.
Secular writings report : ( Wikipedia 'Bible Students')
"By mid-1919 about one in seven Bible Students had chosen to leave rather than accept Rutherford's leadership,[61] forming groups such as The Stand Fast Movement, Paul Johnson Movement, and the Pastoral Bible Institute of Brooklyn.[62] It is estimated that as many as three quarters of the Bible Students associating in 1921 left the movement by 1931 in protest against Rutherford's rejection of Pastor Russell's teachings"

Is the Watchtower God's Organization?
by Atlantis inwatchtower 1953, may 1st, pg.284, par.16.
16 is the watch tower bible and tract society god’s woman or universal organization?

Semantics.......
The WTS is not Gods Woman of Rev 12, neither is it a Universal org. , being only. an earthly legal corp. for the doing of Gods will, they say.
But to get them to say that the "Society " in all its guises and the congregations of J W are not God's earthly org and G B were not the F and D Slave......... that would be something .

Absolutely worth seeing - Kevin from Dubtown tells about himself

@ kevini love your dubtown videos.
but this video - where you tell something about yourself - is the most valuable of all previous videos.

Thanks Jehu, and Kevin......That was good for me today.
For the first time in years I took some flack from the family for quitting "The Truth" and I was feeling down . Kevin put into words what I feel inside.....that you cannot exercise doublethink and believe that they are guided by H/S while continually excusing them for being wrong.
Elapsed time since 1914 and a logical humanitarian abhorance of an Armageddon slaughter, means that they cannot be right.
Thanks again Kevin, we think alike

As the o/p says:
"Once upon a time there was a tavernWhere we used to raise a glass or twoRemember how we laughed away the hoursThink of all the great things we would doThose were the days, my friendWe thought they'd never endWe'd sing and dance forever and a dayWe'd live the life we chooseWe'd fight and never loseFor we were young and sure to have our way"Yes, very astute... must have been written by an older person.
My choices go back further... Rock Around the Clock... Bill Haley , started the rock scene in Britain, perhaps Elvis Heartbreak Hotel.
