Do Jw's Dress up in meeting clothes for Zoom meetings?
by jeremiah18:5-10 ini am just curious if anyone knows whether the "friends" still are required to wear "meeting clothes" for attending meetings through zoom?
such emphasis on dressing in a godly manner over the decades, would be interesting if some attend in pajamas or their work clothes, no makeup, etc....

John Redwood (above) seems to know of these people. When I seached I only found what appeared to be a legit site, but no mention of our story .
They claim that JWs announced it , but nothing on their site . I agree with Barbara Anderson. I will hold off repeating this rumour until confirmed.

Waco Mini-Series on Netflix. Powerful and Scary.
by Simon inso we binge-watched the waco mini-series on netflix.. wow, what a powerful and enlightening programme!
even if you think you know what happened, it gives you extra context to it all.
it's very well done even if you just want a great drama series, but it's way more than that.. there are of course some dramatization and slight historical inaccuracies for the purpose of story-telling but it was very informative.

Is this the series that had Michael Shannon as the FBI negotiator?
If so I watched it weekly on UK tv a while back. As a series I thought it was brilliant and the final episode was so moving and me feel both gutted and angry at the same time.
Interesting to read truth-be-known's post and personal knowledge of such things. I hope he is right in saying that training and tactics have progressed a lot since then.

I am just fed up with hearing “the four horsemen are riding” ....ok, I thought you believed they had been riding four over 100 years....
The word “pestilence” ....yes we know we are in the grip of a horrible pandemic that has taken the lives of over 300,000 people..... but how does that compare with Spanish flu of 1918-19? Or worse still Bubonic plague of 13th and 16th centuries, or smallpox, until recent years?
Worse things happened in the past

I used to think that medicine was an exact science, but after many decades and seeing people close to me receive totally different diagnosis from different doctors ... I know that it is far from that.
Simple, common complaints may be ok but anything "out of the box", they are stumped. It is pot luck if you find the right doctor who cracks it for you.

I wonder what it is they are preparing for. If it was a call to be together to survive Armageddon, that is one thing. A natural disaster like a hurricane, flood etc is something else .
Your decision to leave the WTS should have no bearing on what you do as a family in the event of a natural emergency. In theory at least, your wife is bound to you and must obediently follow your direction as family head. The congregation elders would have to supprt that view.
Now in the event that Armageddon were to strike.... the call might be for the faithfull to be together for salvation. That would be different. It is a pretty safe bet that that is never going to happen

Easily convinced? Or perceptive enough to realise the danger and react appropriately?
When you have friends very ill with it, and well known people die, and our own Prime Minister in intensive care, I don’t call it an over reaction to stay home. One thing though , a lot of us are cautious about letting go the safeguards too quickly.

I guess it would only be to those actually involved and being given meeting assignments. As for announcements, don’t they follow on zoom?
