the wt has embraced the big bang/old earth etc just not evolution.
in fact the creator book has some decent info.. however i have a good copy of the 1958 paradise book.
Have to say that :
1) WTS abandoned the 7000 YEAR Creative day belief decades ago . Now it is admitted they don't know how long they were.
2) A creative day refers to the preparing of the Earth not the creation of the Universe. Tney say the stars and planets existed unfathomable time beforehand.

i'm writing my own memories of her but it was also suggested that i maybe contact others who knew her to see if they had a nice memory or two of her they'd like to share.

Dear Grace, who posted here under the name of “ Mouthy” .. I guess that was a backhanded compliment since she had been outspoken in the congregation.
We remember her warmth and compassion for people. I wish she was still here.

Well, it has adapted to the Coronovirus situation. It closed K/Halls and virtually stopped the Ministry. This virus has achieved more disruption to the WTS than all the persecution from all governments combined.
I wonder actually what they do on a midweek meeting. Thankfully I am not obliged to view them. It seems silly to talk about house to house work as if it was going on..... but do they?

At home, among the family it is different... They are human and watch the news with interest so they have opinions. They just pretend not to... it is something which must not be spoken.
i was bored to death this sunday, and suddenly i remembered that it could be worse if having to attend the public meeting on a sunday, even worse, not being assigned to the sound department, accomodating, being the mic guy, or reading the wt at the platform... then i realized that i hated just "attending" and sitting at meetings, those "privileges" were the only thing i enjoyed and made my last months inside bearable.... did you enjoy these assignments?
Of course I enjoyed the jobs. It made you important, one of the team, a player rather than a spectator... and of course it was all part of “sacred service “.
The troubles came later . I must have done them too well. Later on I had the Cong. Accounts Servant role (tedious paperwork in those pre electronic days) . Even later I became Congregation Secretary. That was hell....
