WoW ! this is actually amazing on how many of us here fessed up to doing this "fake knock", and look where we are today?! So if there are still thousands of the JW`s doing this, what does this say about the JW`s and what they are teaching?? And there has to be thousands still in that are feeling like we did, and don`t really preach ( or want to ) when they are in FS. So many, to scared to make a move and get out!! So brainwashed! Frightening!

I've decided to disassociate myself tonight
by Dustin inthe kingdom hall where i used to go has the theocratic ministry school and service meetings on tuesday.
i have finally come to grips with my need to exit the jehovah's witnesses forever.
i told my parents today that i'm leaving the jw religion behind forever.

Hope things went well for you Dustin. You handled the situation with your dad very mature, I`m sure he saw it, and appreciated it. Best of luck for your future. Keep rock~n~rollin to guy!! this will help.

Intuition..
by Country Girl ini've been reading up on intuition (and that's not what you pay to go to college.. heheh).. i think that all creatures have some sort of mechanism in their bodies that alerts them to possible danger.
i feel that this sense has somehow been desensitized in humans, because we perhaps do not depend on it for our very lives any more, in the case of survival.
however, it probably is still there somewhere deep inside us at some very unconscious level.. whether one can tap into that intuitive energy on sheer will is an unknown for me.

I believe strongly in our abilities to sense when something is out of sorts or not right. I have always used my intuition and trusted it, it has saved me from many bad or what could have been bad situations. I forewarned an ex-room mate of mine years ago to stay away from this one guy she was falling for very quickly. He had her so blinded with kindness and things she wanted to hear, the guy gave me the creeps and I absolutely hated to be in the same room with him. She brought him around to hang with her family, the family was leary of him but allowed him to come around. Her dad owned a seafood store and this guy was a lobster supplier, well anyway he ended up stealing her dad`s 42 foot boat right off their dock from behind their house, after he had set his own storefront on fire to collect the insurance. He used the boat to get to the Bahamas and set it adrift, on fire, when he tried to get away!! Yeah love the boyfriend !!!!! Needless to say her`s and my friendship only lasted a few more years after this for some strange reason.

Do you have "Nice Roads" where you live?
by JH in.
here, the roads are in terrible shape.
with 4 distinct seasons, we have many potholes this time of year, and they don't pave streets very often....like maybe once every 40 years for secondary roads, and maybe once every 10 years for major arteries.. all they seem to do around here is patch roads, not pave entire lengths like they used to not so many years ago.. i was just wondering if this was just here...

Kidding aside, we do have some bad roads that the local gov. and state are trying to fix, just age, and alot of usuage from only having a few main roads. I `m surrounded by barrier islands, so each has it`s own limited roadways.Lots of tourists use them and locals. Then we have the advantage of "river road" drives which are very nice and maintained, and are a very relaxed and peaceful ride on the weekends, these roads were the original roads when these islands were first settled. They move along the island skirting the huge rivers here. Then there is the infamous A1A which I live off, this runs along the coast and you get spectacular views of the beach.

thanx for the welcome
by tijkmo inthanx for all your welcoming comments..im really quite nervous about this..some of you spoke about spiritual abuse and i understand this but im also aware that victims of abuse can rationalise that it will be the last time and at least its attention which i guess is why im still struggling to make a clean break..aswell as my family all being jw and i dont have friends elsewhere..to let you know a bit bout me...unlike many here i loved it..nothing about being a witness was ever a problem for me..i pioneered straight from school because id always wanted to,not a sacrafice although i was good at everything academically musically sportily(im sorry its just a fact) loved the pioneer school..hated window cleaning but it was good money and i only worked a couple of days..i loved being ms..mags lit mikes hall cleaning..loved being an elder..i was not a bully i genuinely liked helping people..loved my group which was never boring liked training newer ones in the ministry helping with their talks loved sheperding..gave great talks and a rivetting wt study was on circuit and district assemblies and elders schools etc..esp got on well with young ones..i was a baptizer i did weddings and funerals cooked at quick builds and helped out on bethel constuction..i wasnt proud of myself i just took great pride in using all my time effort and abilities in serving j......and then i made a mistake....and what they did to me was neither scriptural organizational or humane...as a result of which i had one nervous breakdown after another along with several bouts of suicidal tendancies for which i was hospitalized my marraige failed my relationship with my family strained to say the least and even though ive been reinstated about 18 months now none of my former friends want anything to do with me...im picking up the pieces slowly and doing a music course at college(oh no i said the c word) there are still days when i think that stoning was less cruel than what they did to me....if i still prayed i would ask j to hurry up with armageddon already to put me out of my misery....thanx for listening..still got plenty more to say..tijkmo
