We had the dubz call, they knew that my wife and I would be at work, so they thought they were safe, but my son was home, and as awkward as it was, the sister insisted that he take it. He had a room full of school friends there, so he promptly tore the thing up when she was gone. He said the woman with her looked scared, she must be the one that the sister was studying with while we were still there. Sad.......she didnt run, now she is getting hooked up, even though her gut is telling her it isn't right to be disturbing people. RUN FOREST RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We still went out bible bashing when we didnt believe it any longer, you get more and more incongruent with your heart as you go on, and then one day you can not live a lie any longer, strength to you stillgroggy..

i had to develop my own method of placing it without having to talk about it, since i fear if i was confronted by someone asking "do you people think you're the only true religion", i might break down and tell the person at the door "no, i don't".
the witness at the door with me would scream in terror, and i would be insta-dfed.

Let's just get something straight about 1975.
by WTFBBQPWNT innobody ever said that the end was coming in 1975.. all the hype about this date that has continued all the way down through today came from a talk in the early 70's by fred franz.
in this talk, franz pointed out the significance of the 7 creative days and how they correspond with 1,000-year time intervals.. he then said, "could the end come in 1975?
there's so much wrong with jehovah's witnesses from their rigid legalism to their faux love, but let's call a spade a spade about the 1975 thing..

Great Point Blondie. Now as all the lod dubs die, the younger ones just will not know their history. It will be forgotten. It will be the same, no one said 1975, no one said 1925, because no dub alive will know what was said............ever. They need all the old cronies to pass away, to finish their earthly course. Proof dies. Get rid of all the old publications, rewrite the history. Wait on, I have read this in a book recently. George Orwell 1984. Maybe thats when armageddon came?

My wife had a dream the other night that we realized that it was the "truth". No mistakes about it. So......we had to get dressed and go to the meeting. And, well we couldn't. Even though it was right [in the dream folks, only in the dream] we could not make ourselves go back and jump through all those hoops again!!!!

September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book
by dozy ini can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

A Comment by 95stormfront[?]I guess a four page insert is a lot cheaper than reprinting a whole book for 6 million people. I swear, if I were still in, this would be a huge "red flag" to me. That many changes in one book? If this many changes in just one book constitute the "truth" now, then what the hell were we studying back in the late 80's?
Now, I wonder whay a book company such as thw wts, doesnt reproduce the thing, correcting all the changes for whatever reason. Man they would sell another 6.6 million copies, nearly end up on the best seller list. All those donations!!!!!!! Plenty of dubs paying twices as much as they ought??? -

I Threw Away My Entire Watchtower Library Today

I did this about 6 months ago too. It was extremely cathartic. It felts soooo good to get rid of it, and what a huge amount of room it made. Now there's enough room for my real theocratic library, where Ray Franz has prime position.
I did salvage some older books, and have bought some others from ebay...references.
All those bound volumes, who needs them? I do have 2005 cd from reexamine. -

Badges for Conventions
by ThomasCovenant ineach year name badges are handed out at the kingdom halls for those attending the upcoming district convention.
i have always refused to wear one but this was not a major issue as i would say only about 50% wore them anyway.
however i noticed that as the years went by more and more 'brothers' were wearing them including during the lunch break in the city centre concerned.
