even though law enforcement has their hands full with illegal drugs and guns on the street, child traffickers, dangerous gangs and such.
they are going to now pool all their resources to confiscate bibles and religious literature?!

Why this obsession with Standardisation?
by eyeslice2 inthe longer i am out, the the less i understand the logic of this organisation.. i thought that the kingdom hall my wife attends was perfectly fine and adequate, in fact i liked that it sat in grassy grounds, surrounded by trees.
it probably wasn't in any dire need of re-decorating at this point.
others, obviously, thought otherwise and so the hall has recently been subjected to a make-over.. the parking lot has been extended in true joni michell they've "paved paradise and put up a parking lot".

They are doing the same thing where my in-laws live in Victoria, Australia.Perfectly fine hall and scraping everything and demolishing nearly all the hall and rebuilding it. Turfing out air con and the seats, the lot. Talk about enslavement! That should keep them all digging deeper and deeper into their pockets..... dumbasses!

Do You Ever Have Dreams You’re Still a JW?

i spent the rest of the day “working” the event in a security detail.
the dream lasted until the entire day’s program was over.

Thank god I am not the only one!! Thanks for all the comments. I do occasionally have a dream of being at a meeting or assembly. I know I should n't be there... I know it is all wrong!
In one we were at a big convention and when I went out of the auditorium I looked up and there was a massive space ship, huge and I went in and tried to get them all to come out and look! That would have sorted some of them out, but most weren't interested! Typical!!
We been out since 2005!

Maybe they could have given him a watchtower, and then he could have straightened his life up and then become a productive member of the jw society.....

the plaster board has been taken off, all the toilets and air cons even the roofing iron and insulation are being pulled out and dumped to be totally replaced.
it seems like overkill to say the least.

It seems like overkill to say the least. The hall was neat and tidy, everything seemed fine when we went to a family funeral 17 mths ago.
What gives? Draining more money out of the sheeple and keep flogging them?
Or is this a new thing that they do?

Go Bags, Safe houses and cartoon of two kids.
by scruffmcbuff ini have been out a good 10+ years and until recently didnt pay much attention to what the jehovahs are up to.. why have they taken this turn with the bunker videos and making all the brainwashed people like my parents pack a go bag.
now let me just clarify.
im a military man i believe everyone should have an element of preparedness canned goods,bottled water and a bug out bag is a great addition ( ill stop waffling on about that now).. but what concerns me is the fact they are advising elderly people to bug out.

So..I am trying to figure out whether this is an actual wt thing, or just a thing that some dubs do and promote?
My family lived in a country town in South Australia in 1974-76. We had these two elders move in from Adelaide. They had this idea that we had to be ready to flee at any moment and that the book study would be held in different locations each week and you wouldn't know where until you got a phone call about 6.30 p.m that night. You had to go plain clothes until you arrived, you had to be able to hide your books as soon as the "knock" came on the door. One bloke had torn the pages out of his study book and when the knock came, he shoved them in his mouth and swallowed them! Three families were assigned to each other and if the S hit the F you would go in search of each other! Here we are 42-4 years later. Wonder if they all stayed IN!
