Did you ever feel like you never fit in?
by Dragonlady76 inwhen i was growing up in dubland, i always felt like i never "fit" in with the other kids in the cong or their families.
i always knew deep down that i didn't like being a jw and their had to be more to life than meetings and field service.
i just wanted to be normal, like the other kids and have sleepovers, birthday parties, after school activities and christmas etc..... my folks were and still are devout dubs and my dad in particular is the nicest man you will ever meet, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, no questions asked.

I got along with them fine but deep down I thought a lot of them were just drones. The personalities were so bland, most of them just bored me to the point of nausea. I started to resent them and to dread having to see them at the meetings.

honestly, do you think that jw's really like going to 3 or 4 day assemblies, especially when it's out of town, far away, and you have to take a motel room, and all the gas money and food money it takes, as well as having to sit down all day listening to endless talks...and that for 3 or 4 days in a row.. and often, they have to take a day off from work, to attend the friday meeting, so no pay for that day.. i think that the jw's are glad when it's finally over, not before.. .

They arent all trolls. Sometimes the dissonance is so strong you can almost see sparks flying out of their ears in some of their posts. It's because deep down they know they cannot make the pieces fit. Its the beginning of breaking out of the self inflicted Watchtower cocoon, and becoming spiritual butterflies.

Boy its hard for teenaged JW's
by skyman ini had to come home early from work today because a 17 year old girl came over to me and was all upset she asked if she could come up and visit with my wife and i. she said the brothers are always picking on her and she can not do anything right.
i asked,what have you done she said nothing every time it is some one making things up and she is tired of even trying any longer.
teenagers come from over all the area they they know they can come and talk to us and we will not judge them.

Dubs are sick people
by gringojj ini notice that when my wife misses meetings( about 60 percent of the time she does) she always tells her study person she wasnt feeling well.
her sister uses that excuse all the time too.
even her mom who has been in it 30 yrs often is too ill to go to the meetings.

:I remember telling an elder I felt very anxious at the meetings at times, even hyperventilating. He said one time when he was on the platform he had a vision of himself running out of the kingdumb hall.
LMAO. I totally felt like this a bunch of times. Sometimes sitting there I would break out in a sweat realizing that I was surrounded by brain dead cultists. I felt like pulling a Forest Gump and just ripping out of the kingdom hall mid meeting. If there is a God, thank you SO MUCH for getting me the f**k out of that nightmare.
