hi all, this post comes from the e-watchman site, when i get the mags, i will post further.. http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=433.
the following is taken from the watchtower of january 15, 2006, page 23 under the heading 'resist the foremost apostate': .
'because of listening to the devil and not rejecting his lies, the first human pair apostatized.
:Because of listening to the Devil and not rejecting his lies, the first human pair apostatized. So, then, should we listen to apostates, read their literature, or examine their Web sites on the internet?
What "lies" are you implying that we tell, Watchtower? How about you pansies fill the rank and file dubs in on exactly what these supposed apostate "lies" are so you can show us up! Sick.
Your boat is sinking you dishonest bastards. Good people have had enough of YOUR lies.

i was reading another post about a "dear old circuit overseers wife" and it immediately brought back to mind an experience i had with one that wasn't so dear at all .
.. i "knew" this woman before she went into the circuit work with her husband.
granted, i didn't know her well - but i had moved into her congregation a few weeks before she and her husband left to go into the circuit work.
When I was about 7 years old I was walking around our Kingdom Hall in Newfoundland pretending to fly a plane or whatever else little kids do with their imaginations. A soon to become circuit overseer's wife grabbed me with both hands and with a horrible expression on her face yelled, "ARE YOU RETARDED?"
Seems like such a small thing but it really hurt me, and yeah, obviously I still remember it.

i've just found this site this evening.
i've been off work with a bad cold since tuesday and there was a knock on the door this afternoon.
i don't usually answer the door to strangers but on this occasion i did as i could see 2 elderly gentlemen.
Save yourself a world of hurt and investigate the Jehovah's Witnesses from outside sources. The friendly men who called on your door quite possibly have no idea how decietful their cult leaders and the history of the Watchtower society are, due to the massive information control of JW culture and fear.
Think critically, question everything be wary of ANY group that comes along selling "the truth".

this is my first time posting, although i've read for a while.
i've been a (bad example of) a witness now for about 15 years.
in all those 15 years, i did not at any time have a good friend within the congo.
That was a sad run down onthefence . I really can relate to what you went through because it's basically exactly what happened to my mom not long ago. I'm sure you will make lots of nice friends here.

first and foremost let me describe my situation.
i am a senior in high school.
i've had a very rough past and alot of people have wronged me in many ways.
:Glad I can count on some people, even if you are all crazy.
Good luck in the "normal" JW's! Can't say we didnt warn ya .
