Hey friends.... I'll be gone for a bit...

i'll be going to akumal mexico for a week with my family.

Saddest cartoon episode?
by Simon inour kids love the simpsons and futurama but one episode of futurama is just soooo sad, i can barely watch it - it brings a lump to my throat every time!.
the one with seymour, fry's fossilised dog that the professor is going to bring back to life.
he decides not to do it because he thinks seymour lived a full life after he got frozen and will have forgotten him.. instead, the dog sat waiting for him all those years ... .

Some of you have read my recent thread on my grandmothers funeral (its here http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/90767/1.ashx ) and about how I had become even more turned off of fundie Christian religions because of it. Well, there's been an interesting development.
While I was in Newfoundland I had many discussions with people in my little home village about how fundamentally messed up the JW's are. I wasn't trying to incite any hate against the dubs or anything, just explaining how they are misguided by thier leaders because of the 144,000 doctrine. Everyone was pretty interested and asking a lot of questions.
Well it turns out that I have rekindled the love of Jesus in a lot of the town's folk. All I did was talk about how the dubs were wrong, but they all defaulted to 'then the Christians are right' mode. They changed the topic whenever I had brought up how being Christian just doesn't make sense. Even the preacher said that I am "going to help bring the people back to Christ." Me! LOL.
Oh my dear God, what have I done. Now there are over 15 people getting 'saved' at their local church this coming Sunday.

i had fully intentioned to disassociate myself from the platform today, but i decided that if i wanted a chance to save my marriage that i'd better tell my wife.
she immediately went to to one of the elders.

Rented any good movies lately?
by Billygoat insince neil and i are a little on the tight side financially lately, we've taken to renting movies more often to entertain ourselves.
the other night we watched "riding giants" a documentary on surfing.
if you haven't watched it, it's a must see...even if you don't appreciate the sport you will after watching it.
