I guess "normies" means people who don't believe that a tribal God is soon going to kill all but faithful JW's in an upcoming armageddon. They don't believe in talking donkey's, global floods, Sun's standing still, fairy tales.

Boy its hard for teenaged JW's
by skyman ini had to come home early from work today because a 17 year old girl came over to me and was all upset she asked if she could come up and visit with my wife and i. she said the brothers are always picking on her and she can not do anything right.
i asked,what have you done she said nothing every time it is some one making things up and she is tired of even trying any longer.
teenagers come from over all the area they they know they can come and talk to us and we will not judge them.

by googlemagoogle intoday i visited a (ex)jw christian forum, the first one i registered to when i needed to talk about my doubts and thoughts.
i read my posts from 1 year ago, when i was really deep into research about the bible and the canon in particular.
now it will soon be one year ago that i finally accepted that there is no jehovah.

Scientology & Tom Cruise
by rebel8 inthe stuff on the news is fascinating me, so i just had to start a thread about it.. yesterday i saw online at the guardian that tom cruise had hired some sort of cult bodyguard (tongue in cheek) to accompany his new girlfriend (katie holmes, an actress) around to continue her inculcation into scientology.
they are allegedly saying they're best friends now, though they met very recently.. i'm now reading the 6/17 issue of entertainment weekly magazine.
it says:he had a scientology massage tent on the set of his newest movie (his retort is he had a capuccino tent too)he compares psychiatry to nazis and claims jung (famous psychiatrist) was editor for nazi papers (a claim a jungian group denies)he says methadone was named after hitler (also refuted by the magazine)he slams brooke shields for using anti-depressants

The Tom Cruise situation might be good for dubs because they can compare him to Prince and the Williams sisters and realize that just because a person is celebrety doesn't mean they have flying clue on the origin of life. Sadly though, most dubs will never put two and two together.

JW urban legend? Has anyone heard of a JW clone group called "The Princes"
by Check_Your_Premises ina dub i know found some info about the christadelphians.
it was quite remarekable to her that there was a group with so many ideas, so similar to the dubs.
such a reailzation is a bit of a challenge to a dub, since they spend so much time fancying how unique they are.

Dub at work said that the Knowledge book was too difficult for new ones
by acsot into understand so that's why the wts published the new book being released at this year's district conventions.. the new book gets "straight to the point".
according to her "and many others", the knowledge book was too difficult for those just beginning a bible study.
