  WHO THE HELL DO THEY CARE FOR?

  i have worked beside a great guy for so long.

  this week his wife went into labor with their first child (they lost two others btw) so he left work to be with her (????

  he got smashed to death by a truck on the way to the hospital.

  Source of Flood Waters

  i do not have access right now to the watchtower cd library, could someone check and tell me what the watchotwer now says is the source for the great flood waters?.

  do they still believe the theory of isaac vail that the waters came from above and that there was a water canopy in orbit about the earth?

  or does the watchtower now say that the canopy was a vapor layer, not in orbit, but a simply above the atmosphere?.

  Evidence for the Exodus?

  one for the historians here...

  was round visiting my jw mother and bro (who stays with my folks when he's in the area working) the other night.

  the conversation swung round to a documentary they'd been watching on video earlier that evening, supposedly putting forward all sorts of archaeological evidence for the exodus, including coral-encrusted remains of chariots at the bottom of the red sea, no less.

  i enjoy discussing god with people from all walks of life & all beliefs.

  this is just something that has been skipping about in my brain...is it possible that god appeared to different cultures as different gods????

  to the jews of the ancient days he appeared as yahweh, to the buddhist as budda, to the christians as jesus, to the moselim as allah etc etc.. i know the witnesses taught that everyone doesn't worship the true god & not all religions lead to god.

  I knew what my answers were supposed to be.. but I also knew they were bullshit. If on the off chance somebody brought up something about blood transfusions I just said, "So you arent interested then?" I felt like such a knob trying to explain my retarded "beliefs" to people.

  has anyone else seen the movie saved!?

  i watched it last night with mr c and although many aspects were extremely funny, some were so cringeworthy too!.

  there's one scene where the head of the "christian jewels" gang tells all her to laugh and look like they were having a good time to try and convert the bad kids to jesus by showing how being a christian is such good fun!

  I remember being told on the podium that us witness kids WERE happy. I'm here to tell ya, NONE of the witness kids who weren't living a double life were even remotely happy. Our parents were so out of touch with reality, sad really.

  Saw 'The Exorcist' first time last night. You'll NEVER guess what happened!

  nothing.. ten years ago i'd have chosen to have a limb amputated rather than let 'satan' into my head by watching such a 'demonic' movie.

  well i watched it right through and i thought it was a good movie - if a little dated.

  it finished just after midnight and i went straight to bed having turned all the lights out (and brushed my teeth .

  Yeah Nic, I watched it for the first time a while ago - nothing. I was a little disappointed I wasnt attacked by a deeemon. Terrific movie though.

  Maybe watch it tripping on acid or something (?).
