wow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!
the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!
they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

in wts pubs we always here the experiences like:.
1) dub gets job because of honesty.
2) dub praying for something and just get it next day.
Yeah I (an evil apostate) found a wallet that belonged to a JW (could tell because of the "No Blood" card in the wallet) and I returned it with all it's contents.
Wow, weird huh.
heeheeheehee
i had a 2 hour discussion with my jw brother (a real breakthrough as far as association) and he said he had problems with the dateline show.
i asked him what the problems were and he said that for one the watchtower building was "altered" to say "read the watchtower daily".
i told him it did not say that but i could not remember the exact quote.
Anybody have an "Insight from the Scriptures" book? Do they have a picture in there? If memory serves me it seems they had a bunch of WTS buildings pictured. Thanks for your help.
boy that would sound weird to most normal people.
my brother is still a jw.
he has never attempted to talk to me since i was dfed/daed.
Boy that would sound weird to most normal people. My brother is still a JW. He has never attempted to talk to me since I was DFed/DAed. I did speak to him once 2 1/2 years ago but it was an uneasy conversation. Anyway, I heard his wife left him for another guy and he had primary custody of his girls. (she was announced as no longer being a JW) I used that as an excuse to call and see how things are going. He talked to me for 2 whole hours. We briefly discussed the child abuse issue as that is what got me DFed/DAed. Then we just talked. I told him I was hesitant to call and wanted to know if it was ok to call him more often. He said that as long as we don't discuss religious subjects that he did not have a problem with it. In fact he talked about coming to Colorado with his girls to see us! So at least for know it appears I have gained back a brother. I did not think that would happen. I have 2 other brothers that are still JWs that don't speak to me and my mother also won't speak to me. Maybe there is hope, but I won't hold my breath......

I need help here. I have since pulled out my video and it says "Read the Watchtower Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom". I saw the building myself in person and it really blows me away that he thinks Dateline would alter the look of the building.????? But he is SURE the WTS would never encourage the reading of the Watchtower in such a powerful way. He is sure it says Read the Bible in it's place and Dateline wanted to make the WTS look like a cult. What I need is for someone to point me to a publication that shows that building with that quote. I would like to send it to him.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

false-report trial set to begin today .
authorities say woman fabricated rape story.
I can see why she would make up the story. (not that I believe it's right) JW's have gone to extremes in the past to cover up premarital sex. I remember one story of a women in her early 20's that killed her baby to cover it up. She hid her pregnancy the whole time.
This women was a pioneer. That means that all her friends would be JW's and her parents are JW's. Her mind must have been racing! If she waited to discover whether or not she was pregnant it would be too late to cry rape.
Once she started the lie she could not recant. After all her dad was inraged! he drove around looking for this "rapist". Now she risks not only being DFed, but also having her parents never trust her again.
Premarital sex was the sin most talked about amoung witnesses when I was growing up. It was talked about SO much that it seemed like it must be the WORSE sin you could commit. And I always believed that MOST people were DFed for that sin. In fact, I was worried when I was DFed that people would think I had cheated on my husband, and that is exactly what they thought.
I hope my kids make good decisions when it comes to sex, but they KNOW they can come to me about anything. They KNOW that I make mistakes and that it is ok to be human. They also know that if they do choose to have sex I won't shun them. I love them NO MATTER WHAT! Why is it that the imperfect elders who have done so many wrong things themselves get to sit in judgement of these young folks? It's very sad.......
my brother, who has been dfed for many, many years is going to a baptist church.
he just started attending recently and had a discussion with the baptist minister about the trinity.
my brother still believes many doctrines of the jw's.
Wow! I can't believe all the replies and in depth discussion! AlanF I really liked your way of explaining it. A lot of you made real valid points and brought up interesting ideas. I did not realize that there were SO MANY ways to interpret one scripture. This is the kind of stuff that made me realize that the bible was not so perfect. It seems to me that anyone can rationalize ANYTHING with the scriptures.
Another thing that boggled my mind is the realization I came to when I really studied the God of the OT and the God of the NT. They really seem so different. The OT God seems so angry and full of vengence whereas the NT God seems to lean more towards kindness and forgiveness. It seems to me that "God" is what people make of him.......

My brother, who has been DFed for many, many years is going to a Baptist church. He just started attending recently and had a discussion with the Baptist minister about the trinity. My brother still believes many doctrines of the JW's. Seems that this minister was not prepared to speak to an ex-JW and could not answer some of my brothers questions, so he thinks he is winning the battle. When I first left the WTS I read an article somewhere about the Trinity and the NWT version of John 1:1. It was really in depth and used the Kingdom Interlinier Bible to show how JW's mis-translated John 1: and it compared it to other verses in the bible. I have only been able to find summary versions of this and I was hoping someone could direct me to a more in depth study.
Personally, I don't subcribe to ANY religion and I don't believe that the bible is the word of "God", but my brother does and I would like to use the bible to show him how the JW teachings don't even fit the bible.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
all this demon talk reminded me of an incident that happened in our hall to a friends mother.
she had just had a baby, her 4th, that was unexpected.
her other 3 kids were much older.
All this demon talk reminded me of an incident that happened in our hall to a friends mother. She had just had a baby, her 4th, that was unexpected. Her other 3 kids were much older. (12 years and more) Shortly after the birth of the baby she had a nervous breakdown. That lead to an immediate response by the elders. They went to the home and helped her husband go through every belonging they had to look for anything that may have brought demons into the home. In the end they found one book that had some vague reference that was thought to be demonic. They burned the book in the fireplace and threw out the ashes. Even as a good JW at the time I thought it was VERY bizzare to think that demons caused her breakdown. I mean REALLY! She just had a baby, and she did not want to have to start over. On top of that having 3 teenagers and her husband was not very "strong" in the truth. He also drank a lot.
The other really bizzare thing that happened in that incident was that all the "nursing mothers" got together and took shifts nursing her baby while she was in the hospital. My mom was one of them. I thought that was really wierd. Turned out that the mom did not nurse her after she returned anyway.
Anybody else know of times that mental illness was blamed on demons or was this just an isolated incident?
.
does anyone have any experience with this or know what is happening?.
moanzy
I remember seeing Santa Clause in my house leaving gifts when I was about 3 or 4. As I grew up and was a JW I thought that my dad had dressed like Santa. This memory was and still is SO clear and real, I just KNEW it couldn't be a dream. The thing is that when I said something to my dad a couple years ago he said that he NEVER dressed as Santa. My mom confirmed this. Now I KNOW it must have been a dream. Obviously, Santa was not in my house! But I would have SWORN it was real!
My husband had an expierience that he felt was demons and swears by. He was 7 or 8 and a JW. He was staying at other JW's house with his step-sister that also swears by the incident. They were supposed to be going to sleep and heard voices of people playing poker in the attic. They were scared by what they KNEW had to be demons, so they prayed and the voices stopped. The thing is, there were already rumors about this "spiritually weak" family and their house. These kids were real young and very easily influenced. It could be that the adults were talking and the kids thought it was coming from above them.
I chaulk it up to kids active imaginations.
As far as your daughter, I would have her eyes checked. The light could be an eye problem. If there is no problem there, just consider that she may be advanced in her use of her imagination. :)
