I tried to have a cool straight forward discussion with my JW folks over the trinity issue and as soon as I said that I can prove the trinity from the scriptures they told me this conversation is over !!!!!! I just laughed and went home, saying to myself that figures.

Why does the trinity matter... or not?
by drew sagan inhere's what i'm putting out there.
every jw has a list of teachings that they know 'prove' they are the only true religion.
while they turn to many things in order to prove their points, i have noticed a special tendancy to turn to just a few things in the end.

It's so sad to hear of it happening that way, it seems like a death is much harder when someone takes their own life. God speed be with you both. I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

I am not offended by anything you stated in you remarks. I really don't care about Mormon religion because after all it is just another cult. They create lies in order to control. Well guess what, I am proud to say I am no longer a Mormon because now in my life I have a true ruler which is Christ. No matter what happened in my past with the Mormons I have never made an excuse for my actions. I believe and will die in order to protect my Family or Friends and by no means will anyone enter my home without my permission, without coming into a conflict by me.
So when the Elder stuck his foot in my door to keep me from shutting my door that was the point where I step in and do the right thing and protect my home and family. Maybe you would be corwardly and let the intruder in I don't know but it is not my attitude. I was merely sharing a experience with the Morons and I. I went to that Bishop in good faith, no one asked me too or threaten me to go tell the Bishop.
Today I could careless about Mormon religion as I now know that it is just another cult just like the JW's so making snide remarks about my moment in history does not offend me because I really don't give a rats ass.

I am not angry at the Mormons for their decision to excommunicate me, infact it is just the opposite it was the best thing that ever happened to me. With what I know today about cult faiths it is a damn good thing I am not a Mormon just like I am happy as a clam not being involved in cult faiths and the Mormons fit right in there with the rest.
I only threatened them when they thought they were going to enter my home against my will to remove the woman whom I had been living with for some time. The mother of my child. It was my responsibility to take care of her and not the Morons.

2) I believe they also practice shunning. Does anyone know how severe?
I did some work for a doctor several years back. I told him I was an excommunicated Mormon and that maybe he should not use me to do his remodeling on his office. He said why would that matter ? I replied that I know the JW's shun their members who have fallen away and I thought they did also as I never had been in a situation when I was in where I could remember shunning an ex Mormon. He said we do not shun ex members because we believe that it is by our love for them that we believe brings them back. I was impressed with this answer but not enough to go get involved with them because they are another cult just like the JW's.A couple of years ago I had to Mormon Missionaries come to my door. I asked them if it would be okay if I got my bible ? They agreed to it. I came back asked them if they would like something to drink they did not except and that was okay. I asked them if they believe that Jesus was the grace by which we are saved ? I already knew their answer as I was one once too. They said yes he is and we believe that. I said so if a person excepts Jesus as their personal saviour and lives a life according to the laws set by God that why would not that person be granted the gift that is promised. (Eternal Life) They both stood up and said our work is done here and I never seen them again.
I was baptised when I was fourteen and excommunicated at 19 for wanting to marry the mother of my son before he was born. I told the Bishop that I felt guilty about my son being born without married parents. He excommunicated me for fornication..They first tried to remove my pregnant girlfriend from my house. They came over one night shortly after I had went to the Bishop and told me that she had to leave now ! I was pissed, I had a walking tall club that sat next to my front door and I pulled it up and said step one foot in my front door and I'll take your freakin head off. They left and a week later I got the excommunication papers in the mail.

the First and the Last, of the creation of God."—
That is just like a JW, add words to the scriptures. The scripture at Rev. 22:13 does not say the first and the last creation of God. It says ;
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Period ! There is nothing said in scriptures that states Christ was created at all....
I want to leave you JW's who still believe. Back when I was studying their religion well let me say this first I am not one who believes everything everyone tells me. I will go research before I will protest it is true first. I asked my JW mother one time, I said is there a group or organisation that approves scriptures before they are printed. My mother said yes there is and they say that our NWT is the most accurate of them all.
So I went to my NIV bible and looked up who was involved in publishing my NIV. I found a publishing address for Scofield who does many translations. I did a search for Scofield on the net and found a web site that led me to an email link to them. I wrote Scofield and asked them who was the group that approved scriptures ? As I was seeking information on a particular translation. I did not mention what bible I was talking about. I was written back sayting that there was no one group or organisation that did this and that some religions will print their own scriptures and approve them themselves. They also said and while you are asking us I must inform you that the NWT used by Jehovahs Witnesses is a very wrong translation to the scriptures.
So without even mentioning what bible I was talking about I got my answer to my research question. They told me that the NWT had been terribly stepped on and should not be used for study.
So now I know that you who are still in will say yep thats satan trying to defer us from the truth. If that is so then why would they say that about the NWT without any mention of any religion or scripture translations ? Nope I don't buy the JW beliefs not on your best day or my death bed.

NEW ANTI-PEDOPHILE LAW
by okoakridge inhttp://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/07/20060727-6.html
the president of the u.s. has signed into law the john walsh child protection & safety act which will among other things provide 500 new federal marshals to fight pedophiles and create a new easily accessible sex offenders finder database.
the watchtower society has not cared to divulge the names of offenders among their ranks from the governing body down to the local kingdom halls but now human society in the u.s. is doing an end-run around them.

Would you honor your relatives request for no blood?
by free2beme inas i get older, i realize that a time could come where i could find my spouse and i in a situation where we could have our parents in a situation of needing blood to live and us having to speak on their behalf.
with that in mind, i know that the medical directive is not enough and they do try to get family members to do the blood to save them.
i know this, as it happened with my mother and my dad had her take blood.

First I have told my folks not to leave their medical decisions to me because I would not honor that wish. I feel that if they died because of a control law in a cult faith, that would leave me blood guilty for their death. At the same time I have also placed a notarized letter in my local hospitals that my folks also do not have rights over my medical decisions.
