Do you know what your last name means and where it comes from...?
by Justahuman24 ini have always been interested in what last names mean and where they come from and if someone famous in the past is related to us because of the same last name.
my last name comes from greek but my family is not greek.
it dates back to the year 700ce and it was around the time in europe when people were starting to get last names - i'm talking about the general people not monarchs.

just wondering does anyone know if anything like this has ever been caught on a camera before?Whenever i watch things like 'most haunted' etc and they are there with the tv cameras rolling nothing ever seems to happen.
Watch Ghost Hunters on the Sci-fi channel. They try to debunk most claims, but I have seen ghost on this show on video. I have also witnessed ghost myself several times. I believe that if you fear them they will not show themselves.

The wages of sin
by oldflame ini had a heavy thought the other day in a discussion with some friends.
the question was this.
if the wages of sin is death for humans then why do animals die ?

The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull, and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain, Jehovah has sa
With this statement from scriptures can we assume then that the animals will also gain the same promise given to us in Christ ?
And if the wages of sin is a spiritual death then can we assume we are all doomed ? We all sin. Oh yeah thats where the Christ comes in but this still does not leave any answer about all the critters in the world.

I walked out in the middle of the Watchtower Study yesterday............
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini'm down to 1 meeting per week and that is even becoming difficult to attend.i read blondie's excellent reviews of the weekly watchtower study and that keeps my sanity when reading the weekly study.
yesterday,i walked out in the middle of the study and went home because of some comments that were made after the reading of paragraph 5.here is blondie's study article and one comment that was made at the meeting.. .
clearly, jesus was concerned that his followers too could become distracted by satan's world, even to the point that they might "return to the things behind.

I can relate with this issue. Even though I do not have much time involved with the witnesses I have learned so much from places like this discussion board that I have grown to hate it also. Not so much the people as the cult itself. It has left a bitterness in me because what this cult has done to my family. It really sucks living in the same town as my mother and never speaking to her. So I do understand fully how it feels.

I had a heavy thought the other day in a discussion with some friends. The question was this. If the wages of sin is death for humans then why do animals die ? Did the animals recieve this punishment because of humans doing ? Because according to my understanding there was no death until sin. I always thought that animals are sinless in Gods eyes so why are they punished with the same as humans ?
Can I get some answers on this or even your thoughts.

See Awakes critical view of doctorine change in OTHER faiths! HYPOCRITES!!!
by Lady Liberty inrecently shadow posted this on another topic, however it is so good i felt it deserved it's own thread.
remember when you are reading this that the watchtower wants all of us to ignore our questions regarding change within the organization.

Here is another thing that bothers me about their statements. If you drive by any local church in my area all the church parking lot is full of cars but you drive by a kingdumb hell there are still parking spaces left, now if all these christians from other churches were so bothered by their changes why is it that they have more members than the dubbers do ? I have never seen a more hypocritical statement than what I just read....LIARS is what they are and God will have his day with them sooner than they think.

What would be interesting to know is if the members of the society know how much the WTBS is spending of their hard earned dollars on exspensive laywers to cover their asses in law suits.
