  i know people who don't say their real age, like take off 2 or 3 years.... my mom looks younger than her age, so she sometimes took off a few years.

  gee, i'm just the opposite, i rather say my real age, and wait for a compliment saying "hey you look good for your age".

  how about you, do you ever lie on your age?

  JWs and Lawsuits

  another jw thing that boggles my mind...... my mother-in-law, a super-jw, was crossing the street when she was hit by a car.

  she was fortunate enough to sustain very minor injury (bruises and maybe a minor sprain or two).

  i would describe the accident as very minor.

  Anyone been baptised in another religon since leaving the dubs?

  i was just wondering if any of you have been baptised into another religon since leaving the jw's.. if you don't mind sharing i would love to know if it was a monumental decision for you to make?.

  what was your status when you did it?

  I was first baptised when I waas 14 into the Mormon church. I was not baptised into the borg, but when I learned what it really was to except Christ as my personal saviour I went to the pastor at the church I attend and told him that I felt that since I was decieved by the Mormons I felt that the baptisum was under false interpretations and wanted to be baptised in Christ rather in Mormon. Funny thing is that there were 3 other JW's that attend the same church who followed and were also baptised because they also felt the same as I did. One of those that was baptised is also a member here that we all know very well.

  Hurricanes & Government relief

  as much as i can remember, with all the hurricanes this year, had you noticed that when florida was hit by several storms that they did not have to wait for aid it was there for them right away.

  do you think that the bush administration was right on top of florida with aid faster than those in the katrina storm ?

  do you think it was because the presidents brother is governor or maybe because there were more people with money there ?

  WTS Emergency Meeting

  the disaster relief committee at patterson organized 3 meetings this past memorial day, monday september 5, 2005. the meetings were held in lake charles, louisiana; bossier city, louisiana; and ball, louisiana.

  over 1,200 elders were in attendance from louisiana, missouri, arkansas, and texas.

  i took horrible notes, but want to share a few things.. the elder opening the meeting emphasized the importance of confidentiality.

  Do you love your pet?

  mine is a lab/boxer mix.

  she is about 8 months now and thinks she is a lap dog!

  she is as graceful as a cat, and can be on my lap in about a second with no notice.

  I have a cat, her name is Stormy. She is a purebred Russian Blue. I have had her now for almost 10 years. She is like my child and I just love her to death. When I first got her then she would not have a single thing to do with me but now we can't be separated. I am sure it will hurt like hell when she leaves me as she is getting old now and the years are counting down.......

  Since it is obvious all religion is wrong why do so many believe?

  any religion that claims it is the only correct one is obviously wrong.

  by it's arrogance it becomes mutually exclusive of any other religion.

  when one steps back they can see that the contradiction of one religion over the others is a proof that they all must be wrong.

  First off people fail to realize that religion and faith are two different things. Religion is something created by man which by man is imperfect. Faith is created by God and Christ which is the key to eternal life.

  Rescue inequality?

  this doesn't sound right:.

  hyatt guests given priority.

  at one point friday, the evacuation was interrupted briefly when school buses rolled up so some 700 guests and employees from the hyatt hotel could move to the head of the evacuation line much to the amazement of those who had been crammed in the stinking superdome since last sunday.. how does this work?

  And to top it all off ? G.W.Bush gives a shoot to kill order even foor looting. This president is one king of all ASSHOLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now will people learn what they put in office ? It's time to impeach !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
