  is there an official wts position on end-of-life issues?

  all of my jw relatives have made it known that if they were in a terri-shiavo-like situation that they want to die.

  they also have made it known that if their heart stops during an operation they are not to be revived.

  Hey my friend, you need some counseling. Suicide is no answer Ok ? It does not hurt you only those who love you. Dying is easy but suffering the loss is much harder than the dying. Please if you are serious about committing suicide all the time then please get some help. I would really not want you to do that.

  Oh man, I was in Wal-mart the other day to get some things for my home, I was in there no more than a half an hour and I was ready to hit someone. People arguing over a stupid toy, no one would move so you could get through the isle. They would look at you like you were the stupid one. Man was I pissed. I will not go to wal-mart until after the holidays no matter what I need or how much I will save. Going to safeway paying high prices are way better than to mingle with a bunch of idiots.

  I remember the day when someone would post a goodbye thread, the posters would give that person a rashing. By what I have read here on this thread, I can see that things have changed for the better and not worse. Oh there are still some of those who do not know how to relate to others by using vulgar, abusive words but you will find that anywhere in the world.

  I personally think you should reconsider your leaving as there are many here who support you.

  Thats funny because my folks did the same thing, it was on a Thanksgiving holiday and they got a turkey and invited several dubs over for dinner. I asked my mom why they were doing that and she simply stated that the turkey was cheap. What a hunk of bullshit that was, I never swallowed that crap.

  the slave class, is one i can think of since they made many additional rules, that not has a solid scripturally ground, about what is right or wrong for a christian.

  i first noticed that no scriptural discussion of the choice is made, so it all appears to be solely the decision of the signatory.. when choosing alternatives of treatment, the witless merely initials his choice under clauses 3 and 4. since this simply indicates choice, full signature and witness are not required.. .

  now clause 6:.

  "i consent to my medical records ands the details of my condition being shared with the emergency contact below (cong secretary recommended) and/or with member(s) of the hospital liaison committee for jehovah's witnesses.. .

  A Letter I Feel I Should Share.

  there are many here who have been shunned or dis-owned by family members who are jehovah's witnesses.

  the pain, hurt and agony over this treatment wreaks havock in our lives and at times to the point of being unbearable.

  after much deliberation and thought i came to the conclusion that for me to be able to "move on" in my own life i needed to express my feelings and be heard on some level by my family.

  cranberry butter tart squares.

  this recipe is from "chatelaine" magazine a couple of years ago.12 cup brown sugar 12 cup butter at room temperature 1 12 cups all-purpose flour 4 eggs 2 tsp vanilla generous pinch of salt 2/3 cup granulated sugar 12 cup flour 2/3 cup corn syrup 1 12 cups golden raisins 12 cup coarsely chopped fresh cranberries (slightly thawed frozen ones before chopping).
