i just answered a knock at my door, about 5 minutes ago, and it was two jws.
they must either be pretty new, i didn't recognise them anyway, or hadn't looked at their list of people not to call on.
they obviously didn't know that i am a da'd witness, and i didn't enlighten them immediately.
Just a thought here. For all those who put themselves on the do not call list with the JW's. Don't you think it would be a good idea to change that and let them call on you so that you are able to share information that you have learned since being out ?
Isn't that what we are all about here ? Sharing the real truth about the WBTS ?
and I'll edit to say, it's time we stand up to them right to their face and not hide from them anymore....

I smoked pot when I was a teenager and I don't remember any delusions. Now the LSD and the mescaline, mushrooms wow, more than delusions. It was more like an allusion man ya know what I mean ? Peace, far out man.........

But what I don't care for is when someone comes on here and say's there is something coming up big but I can't tell you yet, maybe sometime next week ! Hey does that person know what it is like living with anxiety for that week or two ? It's hell man just pure hell ...LOL When there is bug news it should be told when it can be told and not create a bunch of havoc on the board and there was a lot of craziness here when the last one happened.
I thank those who work hard in giving us the evidence we need to get our families out but should use a little discernment before freaking us all out.......................

I'm going to speak my piece here on these issues because I have strong feelings on at least one of these issues. As far as prostitution goes, I don't agree with because of my moral and spiritual beliefs. But if two adults make an agreement with one another to have sex for money should be their own choice. Think about this.
A guy takes a woman out on a date, he buys dinner, the movie ticket or flowers. So he spends money, the same money that a man or woman gives to a prostitute. What the hell is the difference really ? And I think it is unthinkable that the governments use monies from such activities to arrest such individuals for doing so. But then the governments have shown their own hypocracy and even more so recently.
As far a marijuana goes, for one, there are way to many people in our prison system costing tax payers millions of dollars to house and feed these people. A person can go to jail or prison for a little amount of pot but yet it takes several times of DUI's before a person goes to prison.
Now the government makes a pill from pot and charges a tax for it for people to use but then the pill has many more additives in them that can be unhealthy in other ways. Look at the health warnings on all your prescriptions. There are side affects in most of your prescription pills.
I believe in the bible and the scriptures say in Gen. 2: 1 God tells Adam to make use of all seed bearing plants. Evidently plants were created for there purpose. In raw form these plants and trees are healthy without any side affects as long as you use them wisely.
Here in California we have a medicinal use law that allows an individual under a doctors ok to grow and use pot for there own medical need. I have never heard of pot being the reason for someone going off the wall in violence or driving crazy or dangerously. Booze on the other hand is a different story but you can buy it legally and you pay a tax for it. That is why it is legal because of the tax created from booze.
I watched a program on television awhile back and it was on marijuana and the laws in Canada. It was said by law officials that they did not prosecute for pot users because it cost too much when they needed to work on more serious crimes and leave those who use pot alone as they are rarely involved in violent crimes. I think the government wants to legalize the use of pot because of the tax money it could generate. Many, many people use it at all age levels, I know a few 60 year olds who use it. I agree it should also just as ciggarettes are can only be purchased if you are 21 or older. I certainly do not think that pot makes you dumb, it might make you a little lazy or forget things sometimes but not dumb.
I believe that if people are growing their own and smoking their own then they are not out doing things illegal in order to get some for their own, if you know what I mean.
Well that's my piece and if it's way to far over to some peoples heads, well smoke some yourself and then maybe you can understand where I am at.....LOL
maybe i'm tired but........at the risk of seeming overly critical,there have been a number of posts on this forum where the spelling and punctuation have been abysmal.i have no problem with the occasional error but the subjects here tend to be somewhat more complicated and it makes it too much of an effort if i have to keep re-reading things to figure out what the missing word was or where the sentence ends.one academic said it was no big deal as even his professors were poor spellers!well i've got news for you guys, if you don't sharpen up your grammer i'm not even going to try to give you the courtesy of figuring out what you're talking about.

i read once that the witnesses loss between 30,000-50,000 members in the united states alone each year.
i know the numbers for worldwide exits, must be even larger and times that by all the decades of people leaving and you come to a fairly nice size number.
i realize some of these decreases are deaths, losing track of correct totals or a percentage returning right back into the congregation.
Actually the idea of being caught here is absurd. How is someone going to get caught here if you don't post your real name, location or a photo of yourself.
just googling the watchtower and i came across the watchtower trial fund raiser corp. it mentions a book called 'game over' and is actually quite interesting.
this subject brings to mind the possibility of a law suit re the blood issue and where it might lead.
does anyone know what happened to this book and if the wtbs did sue the authors?

dear friends i don't know how to even put my pain in words, or my great loss.
I am truly so sorry about your loss, your post sort of choked me up when I read it as I can relate to the pain you are feeling. I have had friends in the past commit suicide and I think that hurts more than loosing someone to natural causes. I will pray for your family ad I hope you get some answers. God Bless

I guess I'm not alone when it comes to being depressed around the holidays. I was not born into the cult and was never baptised, but I still get kinda bummed when the holidays come. Today turned out pretty good though, Gumby came over and we had some good food and good whiskey, watched some good football, lost a buck on the game to Gumby (sucker) but all in all it was a nice day. I just wished I could celebrate with my dub family.
my 4 year old is with her dad for christmas eve and i shall get her in the morning.
i have santa's presents all under the tree for her already!!!
i called her dad and told him to stop by my house to pick up 2 of her books: twas the night before christmas and courderoy's christmas.

I am thankful for those who have helped you, it is very uplifting to see that there are people out there who do really care. There is no tree here at my house and no gifts. Not that I don't celebrate but rather there are no kids here, no wife so why bother. I guess it is a little depressing that my family here where I live are JW and I just didn't feel like traveling this year to celebrate.
Just a few friends over today, a bottle of fine whiskey and a football game are my plans for today.
I wish you and your daughter a blessed christmas and I pray for healing for you ....God Bless you
